My Kindle 3 has been lost in the mail

, it was supposed to get here around the 20th and its still a no show. After calling the couriers, and my local mail service nothing was resolved, and finally Australia Post told me to contact Amazon about it. It is really frustrating that no one seemed to know what was going on with it, although the courier reps were very nice.
I contacted Amazon and they bricked it and sent me out a new one, so hopefully that one will be here next week

. When I was talking to the rep though no one mentioned that the new Kindle would be charged to my credit card and it looks like it was. Is it unreasonable for me to contact Amazon for a refund, or part refund? It feels really awkward to ask lol, neither of us have the thing and its no ones fault that it disappeared, but at the same time I wasn't expecting the charges. Now I feel cheap, but I'm really at a loss as what to do about it all. I am really hoping that the original one shows up so I can return it properly (or activate it again and return the replacement). Any advice would be really welcome
