I have made these comments to these problems with my K2 but I thought I would give the resolution if not just the next step.

false problem could not load books KB set me straight 

real problem computer would not acknowledge attachment of kindle to computer consistently. (NO WN here)

problem that I may or may not have called in without other problem was battery would not hold more then 4 days.

I thought I would get more resolution with connection problem - I got the techs are looking into it and well call you back. The battery issue - We are sending you a replacement and method for sending back original.

I never got to check out the fading numbers
