Product Description
This literary thriller revolves around Parker Sloane. When he returns from a dismal foray into third-world cash-smuggling to his childhood home in the woods of New England, it seems he’s seeing his country and his blended stepfamily for the first time—and finding both just as twitchy, desperate, paranoid and unpredictable as the underworld types he thought he’d escaped.

Before he can even unpack, Parker goes head-to-head with his relatives—his tyrannical stepfather, seething younger brother, newly evangelical mother, and his alluring younger half-sister Rita—and with the demons they never exorcised.

Delicately but disastrously, Parker attempts to keep his family from imploding, unaware that they have their own plans for escape. The Moon in Deep Winter combines the dark comedy of the Coen brothers with the doomed lyricism of Denis Johnson, creating an airtight world of homicidal family dysfunction.

When you change your Kindle to a new account what happens to the books that are in your current account.  I would like to share an account with a friend as we both share books now and have K2's plus our iphones but don't want to lose what we already have.

A kindle can only be registered to one account at a time.  If you de-register from account A, any books still on the Kindle will remain.  You can then register to account B, and access books purchased under that account.  Of course, that uses up a license in account B for any book downloaded.

You can, theoretically, d/l all the books on account B and then de-register and re-register back to account A.  Now, the books are stored on their respective accounts.  They're also all on the Kindle.  If you delete them you'll have to go back to whichever account had the book to get it back.

The books from the previous account stay on your kindle. People have done this to download books to their child's kindle and then deregister it so the child can't buy books or see naughty books the parent might have bought. People have also sold their kindles full of books by loading the books then deregistering it. So this can also be used to trade books. I posted a related message here: http://www.kindleboards.com/index.php/topic,16193.0.html

unless someone can tell me what's wrong with my proposal...

With regards to it using up a license, Amazon says to get the license back, all you have to do is deregister the kindle.
