I've had my K3 for about a week and a half and today I noticed that after the battery is at less then half after less than 24 hours off the charger. I have been web-browsing and only have edge rather than 3g(I have no idea if that's makes a difference), read a lotand play games but I'm not sure if I should be worried about it of if it's normal. It's not indexing.

Web browsing will definitely use up the battery faster than just reading.

Games or other 'active' content will also use up the battery faster than just reading.

Leaving wireless on, even if not actively browsing will use up the battery faster.

Using a larger size print will mean more page turns so the battery will be used up a bit faster as well.

I'd never thought of this one.  Mine is certainly on the large size.  My battery also on my 2 month old Kindle 3G seems to drop much more rapidly than I would expect.  This week, I purposely turned off wireless except for a once-a-day download, and I have not used the browser at all.  I'm on day 9, and the battery is quite low.  I imagine a charge will be necessary today.  I have probably averaged only about an hour of reading each day.  I'm not especially worried about it since I'm never away from electricity for long periods of time.  I just miss out on the boasting factor.   Wink

It does as the modem works its hardest when the signal is less strong as it seeks to make the best connection possible.

Thanks, everyone. So I guess it's probably normal and unless it gets worse I won't worry about it.
