Hello,
I have have kindle 3 that I got this past christmas. Anyways, it has been doing great, and I can get about 2-3 weeks on a single charge with reading 2-3 hours a day and occasionally downloading a few books. Well I charged up yesterday morning, and connected to calibre to put a few books on it it I believe like 10 or so. Then charged till full. I forgot to turn off wireless till last night and notice that my battery was at about 75-80 percent. I turned off wireless and read for about 2 hours last night. I checked to see if anything was indexing and it wasn't. This morning I checked and my battery was at about 50 percent and i thought that was crazy as I had charged the day before. Still no indexing or stuck books, so I decided to top off my battery and try again. Wireless is off and I didn't put any more books on it. Hopefully that was just a fluke because at that rate I would have to charge in 2 days. Anyone else have that issue? It is at the latest firmware and no other problems.

Did you turn off indexing in debug mode?

My K2 does this from time to time.  I usually can go a couple of weeks without recharging.  Every now & then it will go down to 20-30% overnight without the 3G turned on.  I do a "hard reset" by holding the power switch 30 seconds until it reboots. All is well for another 6-8 months.

Well it did it again last night. I didn't even read last night but this morning battery was at 50 % or so. I did a reboot where I held the on switch on and it turned off. I then turned it back on and put it on the charger again. Should I do a factory wipe and readd all my books? I am kinda worried as I am going on a trip soon and don't want any issues.

Actually I don''t think I held the switch long enough, i found the restart setting in settings under menu. It turned off and rebooted so hopefully that works. In the meantime, I'm going to leave it on the charger fro a few hours after the green light turns on. I want to make sure i have a good full charge. Hopefully the battery indicator was just giving a false reading and that rebooting sorts everything out. i don't think I rebooted since I got it in January.
