Ouch!  Please, not the guy card!  Wait a minute.  With all the talk around here about accessorizing, aren't our guy cards already in peril?  Or are we thinking more in terms of KindleImprovement with the Oberon modification vis Binford 5000 or whatever 200-watt power tool is needed?

Ah, who am I kidding.  DW  loves me because I'm well-integrated with my sensitive side.  In fact most well-adjusted women prefer us balanced sorts.   Wink

One can have good taste related to accessories.
One can enjoy cooking a good meal, especially for DW.
And one can do these things without the slightest hint of  groveling or whimpering. (Still in good fun - no personal attack intended).
John Wayne cooked beans and coffee and said thank you m'am.  But he took no truck from the bad guys and definitely no whimpering.
Along with my  accessories, cooking (and I might add very accomplished 32 count over 1 cross-stitching of Monet paintings), I also throw metal sharp pointed things (knives) for a hobby and am chop and split my own firewood.  (manly man).

Zeronewbury,
I am very interested to see how this turns out.  My K2 was a combination Christmas/birthday gift from my husband.  He has checked it out & made comments as to whether he will ever be able to borrow it from me.

But rotator cuff surgery is in the near future for him.  And since you threw out the 'life of Christian service,' I know that I really should let him have the Kindle during that time.  I haven't had a chance to read at work, but I still take it with me, just in case I have time at lunch.

Sooo.... whether the Geekbook returns to you may influence how readily I part with mine.  Undecided

But it is REALLY sweet that you are sharing the Geekbook!

I think you are all missing the boat here.  If she is anything like SWMBO at my house... he will get Geekbook back and then she will promptly start hinting about (or may just go and buy) a nice shiny brand new one for herself...with the Oberon cover, and a booklight, and a special new bag to carry it in, and new shoes to match the new bag, and a new outfit to go with the shoes, and a girls night out to show off the new outfit, an ...and... and...

I think it is ZeroNewbury's loving name for his Kindle, which has now been taken over by his wife.

BTW, welcome to KindleBoards, Tranquil. Glad to have you here.

Apologies for the lack of clarity.  My Darling Wife (DW) christened the Kindle GeekBook, in reference to my gadgety tendencies.  I just threw in the ™ to be even geekier.

Google away, though.  Those searches will bump up the Kindleboards rank!
