Have just posted a new story Amazon's Kindle store; it's a ghost story called "The Point" -- about 3100 words, DRM-free, and 99 cents.  Also available at Smashwords.

Description:

One night, Diana Harris, heartbroken, humiliated, and lonely, took a long walk away from campus; she walked out to The Point and was never seen again. The campus legend says that she's still out there, that her ghost still haunts The Point.

Over the years, four young men walked alone at night to The Point, and vanished without a trace.

And tonight Bill Spender is walking away from the campus, not caring where -- just away. He's walking out to The Point...

******

Give it a look if you get a chance, and I hope you'll enjoy it.

Bests to all,

Tony,

Congratulations on your short story!

(We like to put a copy of the "welcome letter" in each book thread.  It doesn't mean you've done anything wrong, it just helps us know that you know the rules.)

A brief recap of our rules follows:

--We invite you to use your book cover as your avatar and have links to your book and website in your signature. Instructions are posted here

--Please bookmark this thread (using your browser's bookmark/favorite function) so you can update it as we ask that authors have only one thread per book and add to it when there is more information.  You may start a separate thread for each book (or you may have one thread per series of books, or one thread for all of your books, it's your choice).

--While you may respond to member posts to your thread at any time, you may only bump your thread (back-to-back posts by you) once every seven days.  Once you've responded to a member, that resets the clock to zero and you must wait seven days to post, unless another member posts before then.

--We ask that Amazon reviews not be repeated here as they are easy to find at your book link.  Also, full reviews from other sites should not be posted here, but you may post a short blurb and a link to the full review instead.

--Although self-promotion is limited to the Book Bazaar, our most successful authors have found the best way to promote their books is to be as active throughout KindleBoards as time allows.  This is your target audience--book lovers with Kindles!  Please note that putting link information in the body of your posts constitutes self promotion; please leave your links for your profile signature that will automatically appear on each post.  For information on more ways to promote here on KindleBoards, be sure to check out this thread:
Authors: KindleBoards Tips & FAQ.

All this, and more, is included in our Forum Decorum: http://www.kindleboards.com/index.php/topic,36.0.html.  Be sure to check it from time to time for the current guidelines and rules.

Oh, and one more thing:  be sure to check out the index threads at the top of the Book Bazaar. . . .there are details there about how you can be listed so that our readers can find you.

Thanks for being part of KindleBoards!  Feel free to send us a PM if you have any questions.

Free coupons for a limited time at Smashwords--Ask only that you post a review at Amazon, Smashwords & Goodreads

Looking for reviews for "The Point"
Hi there. I've got two titles for 99 cents at the Kindle store and at Smashwords and would be interested in seeing comments from reviewers. Coupons are available for both. They are: "The Point" (coupon code NL93T) and "The Other Iron River, and Other Stories" (coupon code QP57C). The coupons are good for 100% of the purchase price, and they'll be good until June 7. If you download, please post your review at Amazon of course, but also at Smashwords and Goodreads, and any other ebook retailer you'd like. Naturally, good reviews are preferred, but if the review's not favorable so be it. Just give it to me straight. I can take it. I think. Maybe.

Thanks in advance, and bests to all.

My short ghost story, "The Point," is available free at Smashwords during July as part of the Smashwords summer site-wide promotion.

Only two reviews so far, but both are favorable (and neither was written by my mother or anybody who owes me money).  Promotional code for 100% discount is on the story's Smashwords page.  Give it a look if you get a chance.

"The Point," a short ghost story (about 3100 words, DRM-free, previously 99 cents, and fairly well-reviewed at Smashwords/Goodreads) is now available as a free download at Smashwords, and once the distribution channels catch up with the price change it will also be available free at B&N and Sony.  After that happens, I'll try to get the freebie status matched in the Kindle store as well.  The story is also included in my collection Five of the Haunted (which isn't free -- sorry about that).

"The Point" is finally free at the Amazon Kindle store as well.  If you'd like a nice quiet little ghost story, give it a try.
