Justified is a novel that mirrors our own celebrity-crazed reality. It follows an ordinary man, in a job he detests, held hostage by a disgruntled civil servant. After the fatal shootings, Edmond Styles is swept into the cult of celebrity and the journey takes him from Brooklyn, NY to Hollywood. A universal story that is simultaneously hilarious, heart-breaking and tragic.

Welcome to KindleBoards, Kali, and congratulations on your book!

(If you've gotten this welcome before, it's just as a matter of housekeeping. We like to put a copy of the "welcome letter" in each book thread.  It doesn't mean you've done anything wrong, it just helps us know that you know the rules.)

A brief recap of our rules follows:

--We invite you to use your book cover as your avatar and have links to your book and website in your signature. Instructions are posted here

--Please bookmark this thread (using your browser's bookmark/favorite function) so you can update it as we ask that authors have only one thread per book and add to it when there is more information.  You may start a separate thread for each book (or you may have one thread per series of books, or one thread for all of your books, it's your choice).

--While you may respond to member posts to your thread at any time, you may only bump your thread (back-to-back posts by you) once every seven days.  Once you've responded to a member, that resets the clock to zero and you must wait seven days to post, unless another member posts before then.

--We ask that Amazon reviews not be repeated here as they are easy to find at your book link.  Also, full reviews from other sites should not be posted here, but you may post a short blurb and a link to the full review instead.

--Although self-promotion is limited to the Book Bazaar, our most successful authors have found the best way to promote their books is to be as active throughout KindleBoards as time allows.  This is your target audience--book lovers with Kindles!  Please note that putting link information in the body of your posts constitutes self promotion; please leave your links for your profile signature that will automatically appear on each post.  For information on more ways to promote here on KindleBoards, be sure to check out this thread:
Authors: KindleBoards Tips & FAQ.

All this, and more, is included in our Forum Decorum.  Be sure to check it from time to time for the current guidelines and rules.

Oh, and one more thing:  be sure to check out the index threads at the top of the Book Bazaar. . . .there are details there about how you can be listed so that our readers can find you.

Thanks for being part of KindleBoards!  Feel free to send us a PM if you have any questions.

Great Summer Reading!

Have you ever wondered what would happen if “Dexter” met “The Office”? It would be a twisted, bloody and hilarious rump. That's what Justified is like but with an added press tour that takes our hero from east to west coast and into the stratosphere of instant celebrity.

But why is it great summer reading? It's an awesome vacation fantasy for stressed out workers: you'll laugh and nobody gets hurt.

Putting May to Rest is a short story that will make your dysfunctional family seem extra normal, a vacation we can all take. In this story, we witness a family funeral that surpasses the absurd. There's a body, pink bunny slippers, a velvet Elvis, bikers, inappropriate grooming and ballet.

Kali: The Food Goddess, A Compilation of Delightful Recipes and Memories of Food has 24 indexed recipes and more than a dozen food essays that will leave your mouth watering.

These titles are available now at the Kindle Store and at Smashwords for very reasonable prices, because entertainment and guilty pleasures should never break the bank.

--- edit... new post merged with original thread. please remember, only one thread per book. please bookmark this thread so you can find it again and please read our Forum Decorum.

Justify is a novel is vicarious thrill for any worker who has ever had an obnoxious boss and it has a road trip and press tour built into it -- funny, slightly disturbing and a quick read.

Putting May to Rest is a short story about a dysfunction, the holidays and dim sum. It will take the edge off for those who hate the enforced gaiety of family holidays and includes images that will stay with you for decades.

Kali: The Food Goddess is based on an online column and includes essays about food, recipes and dozens of variations of cooking methods, alternate ingredients and all sorts of kitchen anarchy.

Pick your poison (or try them all!). For the holidays you can have any of them for 99 cents.

<merged with existing thread.  Please, one thread per book, thanks!  --Betsy>
