Welcome to KindleBoards, A.D., and congratulations on your book!

(If you've gotten this welcome before, it's just as a matter of housekeeping. We like to put a copy of the "welcome letter" in each book thread.  It doesn't mean you've done anything wrong, it just helps us know that you know the rules.)

A brief recap of our rules follows:

--We invite you to use your book cover as your avatar and have links to your book and website in your signature. Instructions are posted here

--Please bookmark this thread (using your browser's bookmark/favorite function) so you can update it as we ask that authors have only one thread per book and add to it when there is more information.  You may start a separate thread for each book (or you may have one thread per series of books, or one thread for all of your books, it's your choice).

--While you may respond to member posts to your thread at any time, you may only bump your thread (back-to-back posts by you) once every seven days.  Once you've responded to a member, that resets the clock to zero and you must wait seven days to post, unless another member posts before then.

--We ask that Amazon reviews not be repeated here as they are easy to find at your book link.  Also, full reviews from other sites should not be posted here, but you may post a short blurb and a link to the full review instead.

--Although self-promotion is limited to the Book Bazaar, our most successful authors have found the best way to promote their books is to be as active throughout KindleBoards as time allows.  This is your target audience--book lovers with Kindles!  Please note that putting link information in the body of your posts constitutes self promotion; please leave your links for your profile signature that will automatically appear on each post.  For information on more ways to promote here on KindleBoards, be sure to check out this thread:
Authors: KindleBoards Tips & FAQ.

All this, and more, is included in our Forum Decorum.  Be sure to check it from time to time for the current guidelines and rules.

Oh, and one more thing:  be sure to check out the index threads at the top of the Book Bazaar. . . .there are details there about how you can be listed so that our readers can find you.

Thanks for being part of KindleBoards!  Feel free to send us a PM if you have any questions.

Hi Aaron!  I'm the woman you ran into at the coffee shop and we talked about my vintage Kindle.  How are you?

I'm reading and enjoying your first published eBook.  Congrats!  It certainly does move along at a fast and entertaining clip... I'm just up to chapter 4 or so (reading you on my Kindle followed right on the heels of the first two books in the "Twilight" series... you're in interesting company with Stephanie Meyer, who writes quite a different sort of novel).  Can't wait to find out what happens in yours.  I don't suppose there are any vampires in your book, right?

I'd love to talk to you about your epublishing experience.  I'm publishing a novel on July 4th - indie book, indie publishing, Independence Day - get it?  I'm also starting an electronic publishing business.

eFitzgerald is going to launch by the fall, and will include both "eFresh" and "reFresh" books -- which is to say new material and some books which were tree-published and whose rights have reverted back to the author.

Somewhere I have your email address...

Hi, Patrice!

Nice to hear from you! I'm glad you're enjoying Bring Me the Head of the Buddha. Can't wait to hear what you have to say about Hi-5.
July 4th is a fine day to release your e-book, and I'm looking forward to it.
eFiztgerald sounds interesting, too. Yes, lets talk e-publishing. And marketing. Feel free to message me here on the boards or use that email address I gave you.

Cheers,

And my first five star review is in...

Tackling everything from a new governmental world order to philosophy, terrorism, religion, and sexual hedonism, Bloom creates a story that moves with lightning speed. Readers will enjoy the absurdist situations and sense of humor in this wacky futuristic romp.

Hells, yeah!

And another five-star review!

"This novel is like crack...I've turned several of my friends on to it already. Fast paced and fun, throw out everything you think you know about our culture and stand it on its head. Wonderful fantasy and entertaining for everyone! "

Well, I've just found Bring Me the Head of the Buddha on three different pirate websites (and a torrent, too)!
What a compliment.
Now, I know I've arrived. Wink

Hi Aaron:  Fun bumping into you the other day.  We seem to hang in the same coffee shops...

Tonight I'm publishing another author's book... and by December I hope to have a poetry book (not by me) and the first two episodes in the Frisky Chronicles... Dreamboat and Stick Shift.  Trying to take advantage of the big holiday boom in eReaders!

This looks really cool -- as much Snow Crash as Brave New World.  Sampled.
