I feel for Angela - I once sprained my lower back and remember how miserable it was - but at least I knew what I did to myself - Keeping her in my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery.

Hello dear friends! I am back!! Sort of...
With Larry's help and the assistance of a lot of pillows, I can now "sit" up without actually sitting so as to keep pressure off of my back, and have situated the laptop into a somewhat comfortable position. I am not sure how long I can maintain this position, but so far, so good!
Now, on to more important business... You guys are awesome! Thank you so much for the prayers. They have been felt for sure. Thank you for all of your messages and words of encouragement. You will never know how much they have helped me. Thank you, Linda for keeping everyone informed.
I am happy to report that prom was a success, but even more so "pre-prom!" My brother & spouse were here and it meant the world to Shanda. Even though I was in pain, we managed to have a wonderful evening with my parents and brother & SIL. Our family has been in great need of healing and restoration and all the prayers are beginning to pay off!
As you all know by now, I spent most of Sunday in the ER. We still don't know what I did to cause my back to spasm so, but hopefully we will be able to find out soon. The xrays showed nothing out of the ordinary and the RE doc thinks it is possibly a pinched nerve or disc. I have an appt with a doctor at 2pm on Friday. Guess we will see where this all goes from there. All we know so far is that as long as I stay lying down with no pressure on my back and I don't stand up at all, then I am virtually pain free... walk around the house or sit in a chair and the spasms start up and I can't function!
Well, that's enough for now. I need to read back through this thread so I can update my prayer list and then try to catch up on some KB post reading! I love you all and thanks again for the prayers and love!
Angela

Angela, It is so good to hear you are on the mend!!! You have been missed. Take care of yourself, my friend. What a blessing that things went well with Shanda and the prom!! That is good news indeed. I'm sorry I was unable to send you a personal message at your address. For some reason, my Yahoo mail absolutely refused to send it! You will still be in my prayers for God to help you deal with everything on your plate right now. Love, Suzi

I've read through all the prayer requests and you are all in my prayers-especially Never. I just lost my baby so I understand the pain and the fear. We have decided to start trying again as soon as my cycle gets back on track. I hope we both get our miracles!

Thank you I'm so sorry about your loss...its a very hard thing to go through. My little man (6 years old) helped me along. He kept saying "the baby is angel now" and my pastor said "he is in the safest place he could be...in God's arms." I'm scared...it almost killed me...but we are trying now. I'm feeling better with all the prayers from everyone. I feel like I can do this now.

All praise to our God who heals...... our God who comforts those who mourn.... our God who loves all of us so much that He gave His own Son so that we can be with Him forever.... and our God who holds us in His arms and cares about every single detail of our lives. Praying for each of you and your prayer requests. In Him.... Judy

Angela, I will pray for your two friends. I lost my baby on April 29th. It was my first too. The pain is great but every day it gets better thanks to my faith!

I lost my angel on July 29th....and miscarried until 8/6. I had a hard time....I know God pulled me through it. Two weeks after I was released from the hospital...was so happy to be home.

Please pray for me. I can't seem to stop crying. The pain of losing my baby, money worries, my husband's unemployment, the possibilty we may have to give up our home and move in with my in-laws (and they've made it clear our two cats are NOT welcome), and being generally overwhelmed with work to catch up on (I took a few weeks off to deal with my miscarriage) has all just come crashing down on me today. I suppose the fact that I had a 3 day migraine over the weekend and have been awake over 20 hours now because I'm too stressed out to sleep isn't helping. I know God never gives us more than we can handle but He's trusting me way too much right now. I still have my faith though.

Lifting up Kristen and Sarah. And NYC, praying for you and sending warm thoughts and hugs your way. Try to let go of the things that are beyond your control and trust God.

NYC, I have been going through back posts in the OYB thread and came across a lovely poem that our own Linda C-M wrote. Every time I read it, it lifts me up. I am sure Linda won't mind if I post it here for you and others to enjoy again. My Secret Place
Sometimes when I am troubled, confused or feeling down There's a secret place I go that helps get my feet back on the ground. It doesn't take long to get there and I don't have to travel far, you see It is the time I spend with Jesus and that secret place is anywhere I want it to be.
I can tell Him anything and not worry about what He will say No matter what He hears, He will love me anyway. Let me tell you about Jesus, He is a friend so strong and true He does more for me than any other friend can do.
I know that sometimes it hurts when I I find out how many friends I really have If the going gets tough only a few will stand their ground. Some friends don't want to hear about Jesus and what He has done for me I need to love them more and tell them of a wonderful gift that for anyone is free.
There are times when I don't know where to turn Facing things that I deal with in this daily rat race. Other times I feel so overwhelmed I feel the need to run These are the times I take a deep breath and realize all I need to do is return to "my secret place."
