Thanks guys: I am walking on air. Tomorrow my son Graduates college; at the party (outside on my deck...weather permitting) I'm going to pull out a second cake for my mother. OK...my 10 minute break is over...back to cooking.
God Bless you all. Everyone is still in my prayers.

Wonderful news SJC!! I will continue to pray for your Mom.
I also have a praise report. We are safely at home after a BRUTAL 24 hour round trip from AL to Norfolk, VA. We picked up our grandchildren, Dillan 15 and Lexy 9. Thanks for the prayers for safe travels. Please continue to pray for us as we raise them. We have not had children at home for 20 years so we are both feeling a bit overwhelmed but they have brought much joy and blessing in 24 hours.
The last message of encouragement was from Dona and she sent me PM's over the last 18 months, always concerned and lifting my spirits.

Linda, I know that it will be hard, but the blessings will be many. My daughter went through many problems and I raised her first child for several years. She is great now and was able to get her life back on track. She now has 3 boys and is raising them wonderfully.
I will be praying for you and know that we will all be here to support you.

Good morning fellow Prayer Warriors and dear friends! I am a bit behind in my email reading due to the attendance at a Women’s Ministry Leadership Conference this weekend. I had rough week before the conference with the loss of Dona on top of the loss of my dad. Thank you all again for the prayers and support during this time. Especially for my mom, Sue. She is doing better, but we still have a lot of “firsts” to go through: Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Daddy’s birthday (July 23), their anniversary (would have been 56 years August 5), Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.
Geoff, thanks for posting the 23rd Psalm. I attending a session at the conference this weekend that was a study/breakdown of the 23rd Psalm and I find it more powerful and meaningful than ever before!
sjc – I am praising the Lord for your mom’s good news and will continue to lift her in prayer. I am sure Dona IS smiling and I am sure she has met my dad and they are celebrating together! I hope you had wonderful weather for the Gson’s graduation, but regardless, I know you all had a great time of celebration.
Linda – Glad your trip was a safe one. I will be lifting you all in prayer daily. I know how it is to bring a teenager in your home after having an empty nest! Grandchildren are a blessing and I know that God has put them with you and has a plan for their lives. I know He will use you to be a blessing to them.
Everyone, please know that I pray for each of you daily! Have a wonderful week in the Lord!
Angela

Prayers please. Intinst was not able to walk as far today as had been expected so he is a little depressed. When I left the hospital tonight it looked more like he would be moved to rehab tomorrow instead of coming home. It all depends on how he does in the morning.
Thanks, Joyce

On one of her last posts on this thread, our friend Dona, reminded us that God's timeline does not necessarily match our own, but He does know what is best for us. Because I am a fairly impatient person who likes to dictate the way things play out in my life as well as in the lives of others, her advice really hit home for me, and I find it helps me on almost a daily basis. I just wanted to share it with all of you. You are all in my prayers.

Joyce; My prayers continue...I may not always post to the thread; but I am ALWAYS praying. Remember, it is during the most difficult times; he is not behind us, because he is carrying us.
Linda; safety and love surround you now...enjoy; God is watching over you and yours.
Angela: YOU are a sweet, kind loving person; you are a lot like Dona...that is why you were SO missed. I pray for you; and your Mom has stolen my heart. I feel for all of you and continue to pray for strength to move on. I know firsthand, how hard the "firsts" can be. The kids will be a blessing in disguise. My son's graduation went very well (thank you) but he upset me today with a bout of rudeness; I now have a migraine and am awaiting his return from work; so that I can explain to him that his impatience caused his Gram grief and that isn't right. He's 20 going on 2 sometimes.
LOONLOVER: Your other half is in my thoughts, my prayers and my heart: He is my other half (don't tell my DH) on these boards; I RUN to that infinity thread to have one minute of laughter in what sometimes seems like an endless day. I WILL SAY A ROSARY TONIGHT FOR HIS RECOVERY. He is a good person and deserves the speediest and complete recovery. I keep telling him that he is lucky to have you!! (He knows it...lol) Blessings to all of you.

Rosetta's dad is being moved to a hospice this week. He's gone downhill very fast. He's had several seizures this past week and possibly strokes as well. At this point, they don't expect him to live much longer. Please pray that his suffering ends soon.

Heather, I will definitely be in prayer for Rosetta and her dad. I will also be in prayer for you to help you support your dear friend in this difficult time. She has had it rough and needs to know that God loves her. And her children.

I had some good news today at my oncologist appointment. My liver numbers, that have been elevated for a couple of years, have almost completely resolved. I still have one elevated number, but it's lower than it was 3 months ago. Dr. is not going to put me on Tamoxifen because of the side effects it can have on the liver. But considering how very small my cancer was when discovered he's not particularly worried about it. Now, I'm just praying that the blood tests they did today come back with positive news also. deb
