Just heard from oncologist and my blood work did not come back as well as I'd hoped. They are going to try me on oral iron for a while. They wanted to do IV something or other, but I kinda sorta begged to try the oral iron first. I guess that explains why I've been so tired. deb
I'm sorry to hear that. I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers. NOTE: Monitor the iron closely. I had to be on iron a few times...and at one point I became toxic. I was actually poisoning my system. Too much iron can be a bad thing. Yet, I was following doctors dosage orders. This is why sometimes I am my own doctor. Nobody knows a person's body better than they do themselves...doctor or not. All the best.

Thank you. I did not know that was a possibility. deb

Thank you. I did not know that was a possibility. deb Yep. It sure is. Take it easy. Rest when you feel tired. Don't forget; your body has been through a lot of late. (As if you need reminding) I get like that sometimes when my iron is low...just raising your arm can be an effort. Go slow and keep us posted.

OMG, you are exactly right. There are times when I can't even lift my arm to take a drink. I kept thinking I was just out of shape. It can be very frustrating. Last Friday we drove to Asheville, NC from Fairmont, WV. I did not do any of the driving. I was simply a passenger. We got to the hotel around 8 and everyone else was ready to go find food. I just wanted to lay down and not move. I felt like such a wimp. Thank you for the words of encouragement. I think women tend to be harder on themselves and keep going even when we feel bad. I have a tendency to do that even when I know better. deb

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers Deb.
You are right, as women we push ourselves too much. We think we must take care of everybody else and don't take care of ourselves well enough. I seek a nap when I can on the weekend and some days when I get home from work. It may be only 15 minutes or it may be 30 to 45. Power naps are wonderful and a must at 61!!
I miss Dona so much and think of her everyday! I'm sure many of you do too. It is so awesome that God gives us the ability to love though we have never met. There is certainly a void here without her.

Linda, you are so right. When I got off the phone with the nurse yesterday the first thing I thought of was the prayer thread and Dona's response. I think of her everyday. deb

We do tend to ignore our bodies warning us to take it easy. Deb...rest whenever you can. Dona would be the first one to tell you to go slow and don't worry about others right now; worry about yourself. Don't push it. Praying for all. sjc.

I go tomorrow to have the last procedure on my neck tomorrow. At least I hope it is. It is pretty evasive, they are going to try and kill the nerve endings on the area that is giving me the most pain. Please keep me in your thoughts. This has been a long year dealing with the results of a fall. I'll be thinking of everyone here. Thanks, Kathy

Prayers are always answered. But it is God's will that is done. And in God's time.
So I seek His Will.
Praying for all of you.

Everything went well yesterday. Very painful, but that is letting up. It will be about a week before I know if it was sucessful, but today I am feeling much better. Thank you all for your prayers.
Angela, I'm thinking of your friend and my thoughts and prayers are with her.

Good evening KB, one of our newer members ladydiamond215 just received word today that she has lesions on her spine, liver, ribs and stomach. The doctor is transferring her to a Cancer Treatment and Research Center in San Antonio. Her real name is Angela Prather. She is 34 year of age. A wife, a mother to 2 girls and 1 boy. The doctor did not come out and say its cancer but is leaning in that direction.
I know Angee from another board and she is on twitter for anyone who would like to leave her a message there. Her screen name is MsAngeeP.
I ask that you pray for her during this time, that God will comfort her hunband and young children. That she knows she is not alone, that God can DO ALL THINGS and that we the Kindle Board members are pray warriors.

I will also be praying for Angee and her family.
I said a prayer for all the OYB group this morning on my drive to work. Asking that you feel God's presence and guidance in whatever adversity you may be facing in life. Praying for peace and comfort that only He can give. Asking that you be blessed indeed, your territory be enlarged and you be protected from all evil doers.
