Thank you for all your prayers. They mean so much to me.
Angela, your Mom is still in my prayers.
Mom had her angiogram today and the news isn't good. Her heart is 95% blocked and she needs to have quintuple bypass surgery Thursday morning. I'm scrambling trying to get myself out to Vegas as soon as I can. Please keep us in your prayers.

Heather, I hate to hear that your mom has this blockage, but so glad they will be able to fix it. I will continue to pray for her and you. Travel save and keep us informed.
Update - Momma has another appt with the doctor in 2 more weeks. We are to continue monitoring her BP and heart rate. I discovered this morning, by accident, that she was taking one of her meds (the beta blocker which slows heart rate) twice daily when she should only be taking it once. This could very well be what caused her heart rate to be too low. Not sure how long she had been doing this but according to her pharmacist she should still have 1/2 of them left and she was almost out... so about 2 weeks of double meds. Hopefully the heart rate will return to normal. If not then we may be looking at a possible pacemaker.
As for the lesions that were discovered during the CT Scan, her doctor wants to consult with the radiologist before moving forward with tests, etc. His main concern right now is still her heart. They don't really think these lesions/cysts are anything to worry about as her blood work is normal and she has no history of cancer in her family. We will find out in 2 weeks if they will schedule further testing.
Thanks again for the prayers. Love you guys! Angela

Angela, I'm glad you found out about the meds. My prayers are with your mom and you. I'd thought about buying one of the 7-day medicine planning containers for my mom and filling them for her each week. Maybe using one of those would be helpful for you and your mom.

We have had an emotionally draining weekend at my house. DH and I have been married almost 17 years and we still love each other - we just aren't very good friends right now. He's found a substitute friend to laugh with and share things with instead of doing that with me. Please pray for us so that we can heal this rift in our relationship and be happy together.

Andra you are in my thoughts and prayers. And I will be praying especially hard for your husband, whom God loves, and whom I am sure needs the prayer.
In His Name all things are possible. So I seek His Will.
Just sayin.....

Thank you everyone. We have been talking a lot the past few days and have an appointment with a marriage counselor this afternoon. I'm afraid this will be awkward... it's hard for me to admit that we have a problem.

I'm so glad someone started this thread. What a wonderful thing to be able to share love and prayer. I missed some of the earlier ones, but Sailor you are in my prayers and your family. Andra, I believe that love can cure any problem. I also believe that prayer is the best medicine for every problem. May God bless and keep all of you in your time of need and give you strength.

Andra my heart aches for you. I was in your situation about 10 years ago and it took a lot of prayer and seeking God's wisdom for us to work through it. God was faithful and healed our marriage and we are closer now than we have ever been. I will be praying for you both. Heather I haven't seen any updates lately on your mom. Hope all is well. My mom went to her follow up appointment today and we got a good report on the bone scan. There is no cancer and the lesions are benign cysts, nothing to worry about. BUT, they found a bone fragment in her lower left leg and they took more xrays today to see if they could figure out where it came from! Her blood pressure was the lowest today than it has been, but heart rate is still not coming up. We are going to try to do without the beta-blocker for a few days to see if the heart rate will come up and the BP will stay down. They aren't ruling out pace maker just yet. They also took her off of Lipitor to see if she shows any improvement with the muscle weakness and they took more blood to test. We should have all tests results before the end of the week, plus know if the heart rate is up. Her dizzy spells are getting worse and so is her memory. I told the doctor that she had a bad spell this past Thursday and she denied it happend. She doesn't remember telling me about it at all.

Angela, thank you for your kind words and prayers. I am happy to hear that your mom is doing better. Thank you everyone else too. Our appointment went well yesterday. We are talking more and enjoying each other's company. Our homework is to plan a date night together - something that we will both enjoy. Next week she is going to talk to us separately... I do feel better about the situation though and I'm very grateful that I have some friends to turn to when I need a little boost.

I think all marriages NEED some outside help sometime. Some cannot afford to (I know you really cannot afford NOT to). But if both parties are committed (till death do us part) and truly care about each other, one can persevere. Harder that way.
If both really communicate and really listen, a lot can be accomplished. Trying to "understand" why the other person feels the way they do helps, but both must do it. And one thing we did was to avoid saying "I gave my 50%, I even went 51% so where is your half". If you are willing to go 120% of the way (hopefully both of you) then it is amazing what can be accomplished. But it is hard - we were never given a users manual.
Just sayin.....

Andra, I will definitely keep you and your husband in my prayers. As most of couples, I went through a few hard times in my marriage. He would agree to counseling, go once, and then interpret what the counselor said as being my problem. I have a lot of respect for couples who are willing to work hard instead of hardly working. Good marriages don't just happen.
Linda, I am so so sorry to hear about your job. deb

Andra and Linda, thinking of you and your situations today.
I have a prayer request also, please. For about a month I have had a twitching, blurriness, weird feeling in my left eye. At first I thought it might be a cold or something. It's getting more irritating and so I finally called and made an appointment with my eye doctor. Well, actually my eye doctor moved to Wal-Mart and sold his practice to another doctor. Wal-Mart does not accept my insurance. So I hope I like the new doctor as much as I LOVED the old doctor. deb

deb, I hope you find a new doctor who accepts your insurance and is as good as your old one. I feel for you - my eye doc is about 4 hours away from me - I've been going to him since college and I just don't want to find one closer because I like him. I also hope nothing serious is going on with your eye.
