DH and I had a great time Thursday night - I think he's going to be a natural dancer because he has a great sense of rhythm. But we had some things go wrong last night and I could use some positive thoughts and prayers today. Thanks.

Andra, I thought about you and your "cute cowboy" on Thursday night. Glad to hear you had a good time. I'm sorry to hear that last night wasn't the best, but I'm praying that you and your husband will get through the rough times. If you're able to do that, your marriage will be strengthened. Have a great weekend.
I'm continuing to pray for all of you who need prayers.

I have two prayer requests. I made an offer on a house last week. It's a house that is in foreclosure. I know it's been on the market for two years. This is the second house I looked at in my house shopping venture. I do not want to gain a house that someone has lost unfairly. I did not know about the foreclosure situation until after I made my offer. It is a lovely home that is the perfect size for me. But I do not want to gain off of someone's loss.
Also, on the 19th I'm having a needle biopsy of my breast. The doctor states "low suspicion," but that's what they said the last time. And this area is larger than before. I am trying very hard not to worry, but that is what they told me last year at this time.
Thank you all very much for your kindness and prayers. deb

Deb, Will be in prayer for a good outcome of your biopsy. And I understand your feelings about the foreclosure. But.... The person that lost the house, for whatever reason, has already taken the hit. Nothing you can do about it and you had no part in it. Now you have an opportunity to enter the real estate market at a low point - good for you. While I know your feelings and share them, I don't think you should consider not obtaining a nice house for yourself. IMHO - and you know how humble I am. Just sayin....

Thank you, Geoff. I do hate to gain at someone's misfortune. And I was thinking since it has been in foreclosure for so long they original owners may have no recourse at this point. That being said, I will be so blessed if this deal goes through. My family and friends have been very, and I do mean very, impatient with me and the fact that I refuse to settle on just any house or apartment. It's been a long two years, and in light of recent events it would be so helpful for me to live closer to work than 2 hours. deb

Deb, you are in my prayers as well. I will pray that you can throw all your cares on the Lord as well as that the biopsy will show nothing. Mr. unknown2cherubim and I are house-shopping as well. We also have a friend who is going through the process to lose their home either in short-sale or more likely foreclosure. This friend has said it will be a huge relief to have the financial burden off finally because the pressure and stress was very hard on their family. Once they made this decision the wife quit her part-time job at Wal-Mart and is now taking full-time care of their young children again. Everyone is happier. I would not wish that situation on anybody but it does help us feel that even though it is a tragedy some owners will have a new sense of relief and freedom from a crushing load if we end up buying a foreclosure or short-sale.

Deb, you are in my prayers for both your house purchase and your biopsy. As others have said about the house, it's an unfortunate situation, but someone is going to get to buy it, so it may as well be you. Hang in there.

Deb you are in my prayers!!
Wishing all of you a blessed day! I lifted all of you in prayer on my commute to work. It is a 40 minute drive and that is one of the times when I talk to God. It gives me great comfort and peace for the day.

You all continue to be in my prayers, and I've added Reed and his family to my prayer list.
I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm saying lots of prayers for the safe evacuation of the Chilean miners and their two rescue workers who have gone into the mine. I'm sure the workers who went down last night to help with the safe return of the 33 miners will be among the last 3 out of the mine. (I have a feeling the last man up will be one of the 33, the one who "captained" the ship, so to speak. That should be an extremely moving sight.) It's a miracle that the 33 miners are all still alive. Let's just pray that the shaft that was drilled to use as an extrication path holds up for 35 trips down and back.

I had posted this prayer request in the 'stop smoking' thread and geoff and andra suggested I add it here, as well:
I just got a note from our pastor that an elderly lady in our church was involved in a single car accident yesterday and the doctors have, so far, discovered 10 broken bones including both kneecaps, ribs and sternum, wrist and ankle. She is currently in surgery on her ankle. She also has blood pressure issues and cannot take pain medication.
Any thoughts and prayers you could send up for her will be greatly appreciated.
Paul

Oh, my, Paul. That's a lot for an elderly lady to have to go through. She's now on my prayer list.
