Martin - Congratulations and Happiness for all three of you! How wonderful, and thank you for letting us know. Looking forward to pictures.
Sailor, the fact he knew your name bothers me a whole lot. Like everyone has said, talk to someone about your security. You are going to have to post every day somewhere on the KB or we will all get very worried about you. Prayers help but action also helps.
Leslie - Sorry about your Dad, it is very tough to go through. You may think you don't pray as much as we do, but one prayer is all that is needed to be heard. Just having you here is a blessing to all of us.
Angela - are you behaving? Or do I need to get your Great Aunt to talk to you again?

Martin, CONGRATULATIONS!!! Oh, what a blessing in your life!!! I'm so glad everyone is well. We will all be looking forward to pictures of wee Brianna. After all, she has many cyber-aunts and uncles!
Sailor, I will be praying for your safety. Please, please speak to someone at the police about what is best for you to do. And please consider a security system. Is it your house or an apartment?
Leslie, I have been praying daily for you & your family. Please hang in there. It must be terribly difficult for all of you.

Wow, Sailor, how scarey!! I am praying for you and your safety. Congrats Martin and Chrissy! Can't wait to see pictures of Brianna! Yes, Aunty Anju... I am being a good girl and taking care of myself. I have been exercising in the pool and wearing my shoes (with good support) instead of walking barefoot on my tile floors! I am still having some pain, but it is bearable and getting better!! Still praying for you and your dad, Leslie. Thanks you all of you for your continued prayers for me and my family. Love you guys!

Martin congratulations to you and Chrissy! She should be your hero. Can't wait to see pics of little Brianna. The miracle of birth, doesn't get any better than that. It's A Girl!!!Sailor please be careful and keep us posted. I am very concerned that the guy knows your name. Scary stuff. Leslie continuing to pray for you, your Dad and the family. I ask that all of you please continue to pray for my daughter, Krystal. Please pray for my grandchildren, Dillan is 14 and Lexy is 9 and also pray for my son in law Byron. I have been too shocked and embarrassed to give any details previously. Krystal left home November 4th, she abandoned my grandkids and her husband. I know she is safe and is now in Maine. I have no explanation nor do I understand. She was a loving, wonderful mother. It has been a roller coaster ride for all of us. Initially I was in shock and depressed. Life goes on and I have to say God continues to bless us even in times of trial and tribulation. If it were not for Him, Jay, my faith, family and friends including my OYB group I could not have made it. Please continue to pray. Linda

Thank you for the prayers, I need them right now. Yes, it is scary and I am terrified. I am doing the best on my end to find out/stop who ever this jerk is. I will be using all the advice given here.
I will be sure to report in daily either on the good morning thread or here.
Thank you again for the prayers,
Sailor

Praying this morning with thanksgiving and intercession.
Sailor, thanks for checking in. Our prayers continue for you.
Leslie, praying for your parents and the rest of your family and for clarity for the psychologist. Blessings come in many forms. Just keep breathing.
Martin, congratulations on the birth of your daughter! Her life will be a blessing for many.
Please pray for me. This is my final week of pastoring this church and I begin retirement in 7 (seven) days! It looks to be an intense week and I need wisdom as I prepare the final sermon. My emotions are widely varied. Thanks.
Cherie

Linda, I will be praying for your daughter & your entire family. I cannot imagine what you all are going through.
Cherie, you will be in my prayers that God puts just the right words in your mouth for your final sermon. (And also that God helps you keep it together so you don't break down during the sermon.) I'm sure He will guide you to say the right thing.
Leslie, have they done any testing on your dad? The reason I ask is, my father-in-law has been exhibiting hostile behavior during the past year. His family doctor had him undergo an MRI a few months ago. The MRI showed that he his suffering from degenerative brain disease. There is no cure, but at least we now know what the story is and it's helping us cope.

Kongratulations Martin & Chrissy!!! What wonderful news..... a new life is such a blessing!!
Sailor.... I'm praying for you and your safety. Remember, you are never alone.... God is always right there with you and He will be with you through this. Taking the extra steps for your safety are essential..... please keep us updated and know you are being lifted up in prayer at this very frightening time for you.
Leslie.... we're praying for your dad and the rest of your family too.... and for wisdom for the doctors as they work to help him.
Linda.... all of this has to be so hard on you. Please remember that even when you don't understand.... God is still in control. It's so hard as a parent to see your child struggling.... making choices we don't understand. I have that with two of my sons and all I can do is put them in God's hands and pray.... and then pray some more. I try to remember that even when I don't understand.... God does and I need to trust Him even more.
Cherie.... praying for you and this next stage of your life. God will give you the right words for your sermon and don't worry about showing the emotions.... those are God-given too.
Angela.... we're happy to hear that you're behaving yourself and doing a little better. We pray that you'll continue to improve!
Much love to all of you..... be blessed today!! Judy

Yes, he had an MRI and neurologist consult back in February. They said everything was "normal." Well, obviously it isn't. I think much of this is related to diabetes. Studies are starting to be published reporting brain changes in late-stage diabetes. I think whatever is going on is not curable but like you said, if we can get to a place where we can all cope, that would be helpful. After my mom and husband visited yesterday, apparently he was very agitated for a long, long time into the evening. The psychologist sort of suggested that maybe we shouldn't visit for a week or so...which is also very hard but will maybe give us all a brief respite to try to get ourselves into a more emotionally stable place. I know I have been having a hard time today. L

Sailor - I pray God keeps his hand upon you and defends you from all harm. You know we care for you. Leslie - His strength will help you deal with this. We pray for your father-in-laws health and well-being. Martin - As I have said elsewhere, God's Joy in our live is made manifest in the gift he makes to us of HIS children. Cherish them, knowing that they are His. Angela - keep following the doctor's orders and please keep us informed as to your progress. Linda - Oh how my heart breaks for you. We always feel enormous pain when we worry about our children and their well-being. As in the remarks to Martin, God gives us His children to take care of but he never stops "fathering" them. So His hand is on her and your grandchildren too. Cherie - You know far better than we do that if you open yourself to Him, He will direct you.
I pray to Him that He makes His WILL known to all of us and I know that he will give us the strength to do His Will. We just have to choose to.
Just prayin.....

What a blessing all of you are to me! I have cried today because of the prayers and kind words from friends I've never physically met.
I hesitated for 7 months before I posted what was going on. I asked for prayers but could not come clean about any details. I felt guilty wondering what I did wrong and then I felt shame for the decision someone I would give my life for had made. I have to hold on to the fact that I know God loves Krystal more than I do and everything happens according to His will. I want my daughter safe but my main concern now are my grandbabies. I am 13 hours from them which makes it more difficult.
There is good to come from every adversity and I look back at myself and how easy it is to judge someone negatively when we are not walking in their shoes. It doesn't matter how close our walk with God is, it is human nature to be so quick to judge others. I have been so guilty of that over the years. Don't ever take for granted that something could or would never happen to you because it can.
Thanks to all of you. I am continuing to pray for everyone in this group.
Linda

Geoff - you have such a wonderful way with words and you have said everything so eloquently! Thank you for reading my heart for me and passing on your thoughtful words.
Linda - like I told Leslie - you are in our hearts and our prayers. Let Go and Let God is a good thought to remember. Sometimes you need to remind God that he needs to "take" it from you because you have such a tight hold.
This is such a caring group and I am so glad Leslie sent me to KBs and Harvey let us have this little corner.

Sailor, I am so glad you said you would check in daily. I know you have a lot of things on your mind, but I'm sure many of us here would be wondering if we didn't hear from you for a day or two.
Leslie, take this next week to catch your breath. I'm sure you're going to need more energy for the weeks to come. As everyone else has said, we're all here to listen and support.
Linda, I have always said we can't really know what is going on in other people's lives. Even as a mother it is very hard to know everything that goes in our adult children's lives and homes. If my mom could have I'm sure she would have wrapped bubble wrap around me to protect me from everything I've went through. The problem is I would not have grown. I'm very very sorry you're having such a hard time. My thoughts are absolutely with you.

Just a quick update. Larry is had his first oral surgery this morning. We left the apartment at 7:30am and I finally got him back and safely tucked in about 30 minutes ago. He is sleeping soundly (and loudly, he is snoring something fierce)! He has lots of pain meds, antibiotics and such that I will be monitoring for him. He thinks he is going back to work tomorrow, but the nurse was talking like he would be home for the next 3 days. ?? Guess we will wait and see what tomorrow brings. Thanks for the prayers. Later!
