Product Description
Fishing’s Greatest Misadventures presents twenty-six true stories which cover the spectrum from terrifying to comical to downright bizarre. In these pages everyday fishermen, pros, and journalists tell their stories of freak accidents, fishy attacks, pranks, idiotic decisions, eerie or unexplained incidents, and other jaw dropping, adrenalin-pumping calamities. The stories bring to life the strange possibilities that await us once we cast our lines into known and unknown waters.

Here are some of the characters you'll meet inside these pages:

* A sport fisherman who gets taken on harrowing underwater ride by an angry white shark.
* An adventure angler whose boat is over turned by a 200 lb Amazon-river catfish.

* A charter boat operator who gets speared thro...

I think we better add this weather situation to our prayer lists today.
Power outages are happening everywhere around here and the temperature is dropping.
I called my mom and my grandparents are fine.  They have a generator in case the power goes out.
But I do worry about the elderly that have no family near.

Catching up this morning. Glad to see such positive news. I will continue to keep everyone in my prayers.

I have another MRI next week on my neck. All of the physical therapy has helped, but it is still very painful. I'm so tired of hurting. Who would think a fall could cause so much trouble? I can't stay on the computer very long and that is seriously messing up my KB time. I have to save all of my computer time for work.

Hang in there Kathy - you are still in my prayers and they usually work, sometimes take longer than others, but the Lord will take care of you in His time.  We all love you -

Right now I am thankful I was able to connect to the internet!! \o/   Wink

It is good to be back among my loving KB family! Even though I haven't been online I have been keeping up with this thread through email updates on my phone. If someone would come up with a BlackBerry app for KB for my phone, I would have it made!!

Anyway, got through the holidays with no major issues. My dad has been released from the eye doctor following his surgeries and now has his new glasses and is no longer on glaucoma medications for the first time in 30 years.  I have had all my annual check ups and tests and all blood work, mammogram, bone density, etc all came out OK. I do need to lose some weight though and I have to have a root canal sometime soon. All in all, other than the winter depression that I have to fight with, I am OK. My Tuesday night Bible Study with the ladies at church starts back tomorrow so I know that will help a lot. I am a bit concerned with my hubby's blood pressure and the fact that he won't go to the doctor to have it checked out. Our dentist has been monitoring it since he had his oral surgery last spring and it is consistantly high (bottom number last week was 111). Please pray that he will listen reason and go to the doctor.

It is good to have Sailorman and Judy back. Welcome to all of you newbies. I will be updating our list of prayer partners this week. Love you guys... and of course I will be praying daily for you all.

Rosetta found out today that her dad does have cancer. They think it started in his lungs. They've admitted him back into the hospital and are planning to do an MRI.  He's been having trouble the last few days and there has been quite of bit of swelling of his brain.

A friend of mine just found out that her nine month old grandson has liver cancer.  He went for his nine month checkup on Tuesday and the doctor suspected there was a problem and sent him for tests. The tumor is too large to remove, so he will receive six weeks of chemo and then be reevaluated for possible surgery. He will be a very sick little boy for quite a while and the chemo has some very nasty side effects.  Please keep little Justin and his family in your prayers.  Thank you!

I am moved to tears for that little child.
With two granddaughters I am grateful that my own children grew up.
But I worry constantly for the little girls.
And to hear of a nine-month old with cancer, it breaks my heart each time I hear about such issues.
Please know that we will continue to pray.
And also for Rosetta and her father, Heather.
And for Linda and her friend and sweet Kate.

Lord of all, have mercy.

Thank you Geoff for doing all of the work posting, and I couldn't  add any more. So sad for all especially when they are SO young.
I have been extremely busy lately and haven't been posting much, but EVERYONE is in my prayers.

Thank you so much for asking. The family problems are continuing, but I have found more peace and clarity. It's so sad to see my mother continuing to go down hill. I think she has herself started to become overwhelmed with her decline and is starting to "give up". I truly appreciate everyone's prayers.  Kiss

I know I asked awhile back but my hip replacement surgery is tomorrow.  I am not so much worried about the surgery as I am the after effects.  I am really going to need patience with my "male nurse" (sounds so much better than DH  Roll Eyes )   I just hope I will be able to get on the computer and KB soon.  I will be home from the hospital on Monday and the doctors say I will be walking tomorrow with a walker and probably slowly.  OK I can handle that.  Just please keep me in your thoughts and prayers for a few days.

I will miss all of you and will keep you in my prayers.

Hi, Dear Ones, Even though I have been on this board for a short time, I really feel the generosity and support that we have for one another;
because of the connection I feel to people on this board, I wanted to request prayers for my family;
my mom died unexpectedly and suddenly on Tuesday morning; while she was 81, she was in relatively good health, and she had just seen the doctor a day prior for some pain she was experiencing in her hip;
she was treated for that, and told by the doctor that she looked well and had a lot of good years left in her;
so we were blindsided the next morning to receive the call that she had passed away in the night;
we suspect she had a stroke, but don't know for sure;
as you can imagine, I am having a really hard time with this sudden passing, and know that any prayers you can offer will be comforting;
thank you, Juli
