Linjeakel stole my line - Hello from a Brand New Mod.   The Power hasn't gone to be head yet ....

In the real world I'm a naturalized Texan who grew up in the Midwestern US and emigrated at 18 to go to college in Dallas and just never bothered to leave.  I work for a Swedish Telecom Company (there are so many to choose from) as a software application specialist.  When I'm not traveling with my job, I live in a nice quiet neighborhood in a 60's ranch style home built the same year I was with my partner of 23 years and our puppy.

I'm really looking forward to taking on the Book Klubs and re-invigorating them.  There is so much fun to be had reading and discussing books - how can I turn down the opportunity?  Smiley

Congratulations on the new mod position, Geoffrey! I'm sure you'll do a super job.

Since you brought it up: I'm originally from Dallas, although I relocated to FL with hubby and kids about 12 years ago. I miss it!  Did you go to SMU?

No, I went to the University of Dallas over in Irving.   A nice little Catholic School overlooking Las Colinas .... But I spent a lot of time in the bowels of the SMU library doing research.  I was an English Major and their library was so much more extensive than ours ....

Here's your new super-hero moderator outfit. I thought the yellow stripe went well with your complexion. What color do you think your cape should be, and do you want a mask, or just stay with the Superman sans mask look?

With the mask, nobody will know it's you (unless the cape gives it away):
