Wow! Your site's fun! I already followed you on Twitter and more. I had a good time answering the six questions. Here you go, if you can use them! Thanks! 1. Have you published a book yet?I’ve had five novels published with New York publishers and recently released my first indie novel, a paranormal story entitled, Siren Call. It’s the first book in my sexy new Mermaid Catcher series beginning with a tale of a woman discovering her special aquatic gift and an unsuspecting man whose life is on the line. Two souls whose dangerous attraction could seal the fate of mankind. 2. When did you know you wanted to be a writer?Ever since I could hold a crayon. I started creating elaborate story boards to tell my story at the age of seven. 3. What was your first lengthy piece of writing (say,>1000 words)? What was it about? When did you write it? Do you still have it?About the age of 13, I started my first novel. A coming-of-age story of a young girl dealing with the world changing around her. I guess the expression, “write what you know,” really came into play then. But then she develops these magical powers. That's when the movie, Carrie must have influenced me. I believe I still have that story stashed in a file somewhere. And that’s where it will stay. 4. When was your first indication, "I can do this (write)?"In high school, I’d given my guidance counselor an opening to a young adult novel I’d started writing. I wanted the feedback. After school, he came running up to me in a panic and yelling, “Did this really happen?” After the shock wore off, I said no, but realized I must have made it quite believable. 5. If you could meet one of your characters in real life, which would it be?I’d like to meet Sirena James, the protagonist from Siren Call. I like her pluck. She’s talented, but flawed, and yet she manages to pull it all together when she has to, especially when facing a life-or-death situation. 6. It's a dark and stormy night...you're alone in the house...there's a knock at the door...you open it, look out, and proceed to scream like a little girl. What's on the doorstep?A bathroom scale. I usually gain about eight pounds with each book I write. I call it, “book weight.” I have to work hard to lose the book weight between projects. But one time, I had to write back-to-back novels under a tight deadline, and, well, the end result left me screaming. www.kimberlyllewellyn.comwww.facebook.com/kimberlyllewellynbookswww.twitter.com/kimllewellyn (writing tips and more)
