Once we're finished the first two books in the series, the advance version of Revolussion should be ready for readers. A reader discussion would be great for discovering any last minute adjustments necessary before the final release on 11/11/11.

I'm looking forward to everyone's impressions of the conclusion. First, though, I'd like to hear what you think of the draft copy of the cover. I'm way behind my personal timelines, but life has really been getting in the way on us. Sigh. I had to trash my original idea of space ships in either lower corner, and there are a couple of slight changes which will happen (including correcting the 4th hour symbol), but I'm interested in knowing if this cover is interesting, intriguing, or too busy for you?

Kathy, I like it. I even minimized the image as much as I could to see what it would look like in thumbnail view and it works.
Two observations on my part. First, did you consider placing the minute hand on 11 minutes after the hour? Is that too blatant or "cute"? Also, I noticed that Evolussion and Revolussion have a similar theme to tie them together. But Regression looks totally different. Is there any way to try to tie Regression into this? I don't know how you can do it without making it look too busy, but it was just a thought.

I was thinking of asking the designer to put the symbol from Regression on the clock face, and had debated about the eyes but thought it would be too much...we'll see how the kanji looks.
For the clock hands, I was going thinking of the 'eleventh' hour; they're also on the eleventh timeline - for Nicholas at least.
Thanks for the feedback!

The different sizes of the earth cause me to try to determine the meaning of their sizes. And the eleventh seems to be the smallest (any reason?). I do like the idea of incorporating the Kanji ...... or perhaps the eyes looking at the clock from the top?
Just sayin......

Thinking that hope was waning at the eleventh hour was why it was the smallest, although now that you mention it perhaps the size differential is a bit too much.
Hubby had a great idea, since he's been my sounding board for scenes in Revolussion and so realizes just how important balance between the sexes becomes in this book, that the male and female symbols be incorporated as the hands of the clock. Still the kanji in behind on the face, but I then think the eyes would be too much. When you read the story, you'll see just how appropriate it is having the hands be male and female!

I'm nervous, because Revolussion has wandered into surprising territory in the same way that Evolussion did. So, I expect I'll see mixed responses again from readers. But, you can't win 'em all, and hopefully most people find the conclusion satisfying. There is finality to the end of the tale, although the timeline could continue beyond Revolussion with some interesting opportunity to develop stories of some of the characters. I just might have to add some short stories beyond Revolussion!
