Just registered. Looked up "how to change avatar" and found this from Admin:
1. Go to your Profile (one of the middle buttons at the top of the screen). 2. Click on Forum Profile Information on the left side of the screen.
Sorry: No such link on the left side of my profile page. And, I can find no links that let me change even basic information on my profile page.
How do I add avatar and change other related things that I see under "Author" in other posts?

OK, I figured it out: You cannot change your profile until after you make your first post.
Note: The industrial engineer side of my brain tells me that a note to this effect in the activation email sent to people who just registered would go a long way toward user efficiency.

Andrew, I'll double check about the email that is sent, but I know for a fact that it is in the KindleBoards terms of service that you agreed to as part of the registration process. Betsy

We could make that clearer - it is in the registration agreement but is easily overlooked. The best place would be in the profile update page itself... it's on my to-do list to add a note there.

Folks-- While posting here is fine, you can also make your first post in our Introductions board or almost anywhere else you really WANT to post...once you edit your profile, any changes to your signature are reflected in all the posts you've already made. Or if you want to post here, that's OK, too. Just sayin.' Welcome to KindleBoards! Betsy

I can't find how to edit my profile and I have made at least one post. Any help here?

Benny,
Go to "Profile" in the top blue menu bar, then select Forum Profile Information on the left.
