I don't want to put a skin on but would like to have some kind of hard shell/armor.  All I've been able to find is the silicon glove type covers.  I'm thinking kind of like the 2 piece snap-on cover that clicks together.  Thanks

Well, there's one I saw on here recently, that is a book-style cover, with the interior a solid molded plastic (?) or something that the Kindle fit into exactly.

Cant find the thread now tho, maybe someone else will know the brand.

I've seen others that are similar in concept, but that one looks more durable than what i've seen.

If you are trying to find a hard cover to protect your Kindle from squashing in a bag or backback, the commercial covers I have seen will not do this. Simply put on the cover, apply pressure to the weakest point of the cover (the center) and the screen can still get damaged due to the flex in the cover.

That is why I bought an 88 cent pencil case, as it is 1 inch deep, and not flexible enough to contact the Kindle.
