Royal Gorge

These pics are actually a couple of years old. I took a scenic train ride through Royal Gorge, Colorado. Royal Gorge is where the Arkansas River cuts through a mountain range, and it is EXTREMELY impressive, and has one of the coolest suspension bridges ever. The Arkansas River is very impressive here, but oddly I mostly know that River from growing up in Tulsa. The River passes through town, but is very much reduced at best, and you can wade across it easily in drought years. But here it is wild and rugged and cut a gorge, and is popular with kayakers.
