I know of several that are recommended often. I have the M-Edge Leisure Jacket, which I like. The cover comes in several colors, has a clear front with two zippers so it can be opened easily to switch the device on/off, and there's a handy zippered pocket in the back. The Trendy Digital Waterproof Case is lower-priced and popular, and also comes in several colors. There's also the KlearKase for Kindle 3. And some people just use a Ziploc bag to protect the Kindle when around water. I don't know if any of those choices are absolutely water proof, but do give some protection from splashes, etc.

If none of those are what you had in mind, perhaps others can make further suggestions.

I just can't decide which one to buy. I am headed to Vegas where my hubby will be attending a car show, I thought I would take the opportunity to sit and read at the pool while he is at the car show but I am wondering if taking my kindle to the pool is such a good idea as I will be afraid to leave my kindle unattended at the lounge chair if I want to take a dip in the pool. I guess if I can find a cover that I could take in the pool I might perch in the shallow end and read but no sure I would trust any cover to be 100% water proof.

Yeah I'm not sure what I would do there since I do agree that nothing is 100% waterproof. Well, they might be but I'm not totally sold haha

I bought the Octovo Tirim Splash Proof Case a couple of months ago when it was on sale at Amazon. Unfortunately, I can't report on it for you, because I haven't used it yet. I bought it for the same reason as you - we are heading to Vegas and Cancun next month, and I wanted to feel safe reading my Kindle by the pool/beach.
I know several other people picked this case up as well - has anyone used it yet? How well does it protect the Kindle from water?

The Trendy case is 100% waterproof. I put papertowels in mine and submerged it in my bathtub. Completely dry. I do have a problem with it though. After being out in the sun it sticks to my Kindle. The last time I used it I put a folded up tissue in on each side of the Kindle to keep it from sticking. Worked like a charm. I take mine on a raft into the lake and have never had a problem. deb

The KlearKases I have seen in person and they look great, seem strong too. Also I've heard nothing but good things. I wish I had one.
