I recently uploaded my traditional Regency romance, The Earl's Bargain, and I'm please to report that it is already No. 10 in Amazon's "Hot New Releases in Regency Romances." The impossibly young, stunningly beautiful widow Louisa Phillips finds herself penniless upon the death of her no-good husband. What's a man-hating bluestocking to do? Enter the Earl of Wycliff, who offers her financial security for life. All she has to do is travel across England posing as his wife. They're both hiding secrets – not the least of which is their budding love for each other. * * * What the Critics Say about Cheryl Bolen's Books:One of the best authors in the Regency romance field today. – Huntress ReviewsBolen's writing has a certain elegance that lends itself to the era and creates the perfect atmosphere for her enchanting romances. – Romantic Times* * * SHORT EXCERPT:He looked down at his feet. "Pray, where are my boots?" "At the foot of the bed," she answered. "And who, may I ask, took them off?" "I did." He looked down at her with a devilish glint in his eyes. "Why did you not remove the rest of my garments while you were at it?" "I had no desire to see you without clothes, my lord," Louisa said haughtily. A cockiness swept across his face. "I don't believe you."

Hello again, Cheryl, and congratulations on your book! Please note that KindleBoards is a Readers and Kindle Fan forum. Authors are always welcome to post anywhere but, as you browse the 'boards, please keep in mind that self-promotion, of any sort, is ONLY allowed here in the Book Bazaar. A brief recap of our rules follows: (Note that this doesn't mean you've done anything wrong; we just want you to have a ready reference, so post this note in every thread. ) -- Please bookmark this thread (using your browser's bookmark/favorite function) so you can update it as we ask that authors have only one thread per book and add to it when there is more information. You may start a separate thread for each book (or you may have one thread per series of books, or one thread for all of your books, it's your choice). --We invite you to use your book cover as your avatar and have links to your book and website in your signature. Instructions are posted here--While you may respond to member posts to your thread at any time, you may only bump your thread (back-to-back posts by you) once every seven days. Also, full reviews from other sites should not be posted here, but you may post a short blurb and a link to the full review instead. --Although self-promotion is limited to the Book Bazaar, our most successful authors have found the best way to promote their books is to be as active throughout KindleBoards as time allows. This is your target audience--book lovers with Kindles! This is a "traditional" Regency romance in the vein of Georgette Heyer. Later in the book, humor comes into play. I am so happy to announce this book has zoomed into the Top 20 in Regency Historicals.

I'm not a compulsive "checker," but last time I checked this book was ranked No. 4 in Regency historical. Yesterday or early today? So I'm very happy.

This was my best-selling book in Sept. and now in October, too. Not a single sex scene!

Surprisingly, this is selling better than my previously print published books. It's never been released before it made its Kindle debut two months ago.

I would like to explain to some readers who got the incorrectly loaded (never edited, never even spell checked) version. The professionally edited version has been uploaded to replace the wrong one. If you got the -- I have to admit it -- horrible edition that not even I had looked at to edit, Amazon will allow you download this again, for free, if you purchased the early version.
I do not know how I sent my techie person the uncorrectly version in place of the correct one. Me very bad.

This little 99-cent has been very, very good to me. It's ranked No. 2 in Regency historical romances again today.

This has far and away been my best seller -- and the heat index is "sweet." Tells me there are a lot of readers out there that weren't being served by NYC publishing.

This is one of my four G-rated books. Surprisingly, they sell the best. I think that's becuase New York is not publishing them, so they're harder to come by.

I think one of the things readers like about this book is the satisfying (sometimes humorous) secondary romance.

I think somebody tried to sabotage this book last week. In one hour's time, two Amazon "reviewers" posted 1-star reviews that sounded suspiciously alike.
It's not like if I drop off the bestseller list, their book will take my place.
It's so cruel.

Wow.
So is this your personal advertising page?
I prefer steam in my romances so I don't think I'll be reading this one. And, I have to say, this thread kinda turned me off.

This is still my bestseller -- and I have ownership of 15 titles on Amazon right now! Harlequin Historical is offering another of my older books on Kindle in its "Treasury" program.
