I'm currently reading a book and noticed that this book has some weird font size issue. I have it set to the 3rd smallest size but it's actually showing one size larger than it should be. What makes it stranger is that chapter 1, the font size is correct at the 3rd smallest size but when I go to chapter 2, its one size larger. Set to 3rd smallest font size: Chapter 1: Aa Chapter 2: AaAnyone have this issue and know of a fix?

There probably isn't anything you can do to fix the font size variation, as I suspect it's been coded that way by the publisher (perhaps unintentionally). Which book is it? I could download the sample and take a look on my Kindle.

I had that with one, but I can't remember which. Hasn't happened with any others so far but I've only read about 10 books since I got the Kindle.

I had that problem with The Hunger Games. The font size changed every chapter.

It's a problem in coding the book -- the publisher has embedded font sizes that over-ride the 'default'. . . if it's the same throughout you can, at least, adjust the setting on the kindle. I've had that and it's not a big deal. But if it changes every chapter, or randomly, that would totally annoy me. I think I'd be asking for my money back.

Yep, had the same problem with "Hunger Games" last week! The font size kept changing on me!

If they get enough complaints they may contact the publisher. Here's the link to Hunger Games. Scroll all the way down on the product page and report where it says "Feedback: Report poor quality or formatting in this book."

If it bothers you that badly I would ask for my money back also! I really hope you can finish your book tho! I have never had that happen on anything I have read so far but I can see how utterly annoying that would get!!!

It's book 1 of Hunger Games. I tested the book on Kindle for PC and its the same issue so its definitely something set by the publisher.
I will report it via Feedback on Amazon.

I've had that happen. If it changes within a chapter, I just ignore it, but if each chapter is different, changing the view size for the font can even it out. It's a temporary fix, of course, since if you re-read you have to do it over.

I thought that was the book but wasn't sure. Didn't last long and don't think it continued into the rest of the series.

Hardly reason enough to ask for your money back, a minor annoyance at best unless you have sight issues I guess.

I'd fine it pretty darn irritating, and I have good vision. A font that keeps changing can throw off your immersion. Its irritating enough so that if it were to happen to me, I'd ask for my money back.

To each their own I did have it happen and I can be as "ooh, shiny!" as anyone and found it to be minor, at least in The Hunger Games. Other books may be bad though, so who knows...
