I've got about 30 books downloaded and my kindle is starting to get cluttered. How do you organize your collections?  Some ideas I thought of were by Author, by genre, or by Read/Unread/to read?

"Reading Now" For the book/books I'm curently reading.

Once I've read a book it goes in one of my collections. Some of my collections are named for the Author, like "Dan Brown". Some are named for the main character, like "Jack Daniels" or "Percy Jackson". others are named after the series themselves, "Clockwork Vampire Chronicles" or "Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Trilogy" and so on. Books I haven't read yet are left out of collections and are just listed after my collections or put into a collection called "To Be Read".

Forgot to add that single books I've read that don't fit into a particular collection go into a general collection such as "Fiction" "Non-Fiction" or "Steampunk" etc...

Read
To Read
Samples
Kindle Stuff & Games (has dictionaries, user guide, My Clippings, and a few games)

That way, the only stuff on the home page is my collections and the book(s) I'm currently reading (and archive of course).

I don't have collections for authors because I can sort by author. Some people sort by genre but I like to keep it simple and my home page clean/down to one page.

Samples
Fiction
Non-Fiction
Classics
A few collections for individual authors/series

Books I haven't read yet (other than free classics) are just floating on the home screen as I usually only have 2 or 3 books at most that I've bought and not read yet.  Once I finish them, I file them in the relevant collection.
