I am a new Kindle reader.   I've just finished my first ebook but I really missed the book cover illustration and the back cover blurb too.
I thought I had read on a discussion board that someone told how to download the book cover onto the ebook on Kindle.  Does anyone know how to do this, please?   The covers are seen on my Kindle for PC but I really miss them on the Kindle itself.   Of course, I realise they wouldn't be in colour.

Hope someone knows how to do it. Undecided

You can go back a page and get to the cover for most books.  It opens "inside" the book when you click to read.  As for the back cover, some books include the "blurb" inside as part of the first few pages, but so far as I know, there is no way to access the "back" of the book from Kindle.

Thanks for that.   The books I have at the moment only have a written title on the "Cover" and no illustration.  Maybe I'll be luckier with later books.
I had seen something about being able to import a cover into the Kindle.   Wondered how it was done. Cheers.

You can add covers using Calibre. Smiley I always use that to get nice covers on my readers.

Well, that's ridiculously lame.  "Cover."   Argh.

Try Calibre--it's free and it is a good tool.  I use it for other things and have found it very robust.  It can take a bit to learn and figure out, but it's great for sorting collections, adding your own rating to a book or notes to remind yourself whether you liked it (some of us need notes.  Not to imply that YOU need notes.  Just some of us...)

Thanks very much for the link to Calibre.    I have heard of Calibre but not looked at it yet.   Will get busy with that very soon. Smiley

I must add that I have just downloaded another book from Amazon and this one does have the cover illustration, so maybe just unlucky before.

By the way, I am in the UK and Kindle hasn't been available for as long as in the US.

Cheers
