I just got a K3 - excuse me, Kindle Keyboard

- a few weeks ago. After an excruciating* wait for my cheapo cover, I've got it all fancied up and finally ready to safely go out in public.
*Not really excruciating, but annoying. USPS showed it in Dallas Friday night. I didn't get it until yesterday afternoon. I'll grant you that I don't live in Dallas proper, but I can see the skyline from my 15-minutes-away backyard, so I thought it a little ridiculous. Anyway. Pictures!
This:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004SX5PM8 is the case I got. I bought it the day that the new Kindles were announced, and the price dropped from $11.95 to $9.99 in between putting it in my cart and checking out. Score!

I really like the case. It's not real leather, of course, but for ten bucks who cares? It's really well constructed, and while not heavy, it's more rigid than I expected. Which is a major bonus with four critters (three canine, one human) in the house.
Open, revealing my brighter-than-bright nokey skin that made my husband just kinda shake his head:

The case doesn't lay completely flat when open if the tab is flipped inwards to hold the case open. However, it does mean it can stand up on its own, so yea!

Found a booklight on clearance for five bucks at Target. Woohoo! It fits great on the naked Kindle, less well on the Kindle+case. But since I mainly need it for reading on the couch at night, I can deal with that.

And the reason it took me so long to justify a Kindle... I've been wanting one for
ages -

Anyway, I'm just really excited to have it all protected and ready to go in the wild, and thought I'd share with like-minded folks.
