Do we think they'll work?

I love Nook covers.  They are much prettier than what Amazon offers--and since the secondary companies take so long to roll out...I'm wondering...if a nook cover work with kindle?

The specs seem the same...but maybe you all can shine some light...

I was just in B&N at lunch time and wished I could get one of those for my new mini kindle.  I put my K up next to the nook touch, and the nook touch is wider.  You should compare dimensions of the the K-touch and Nook-Touch (on their websites).  But the thickness would also be a factor.  I don't think it would be an exact fit.  It needs to be just right to hook it in with the nook cover.  If anyone finds out, please post.

MLewis:

The difference in size is fairly pronounced.

Kindle Touch:

6.8" x 4.7"
x 0.40"

Nook ST:

6.5" x 5.0"
x 0.47"

Pity, since I love the black leather Nook ST case with the red leather belt piece.

However, I've been wondering the same thing about Kindle Keyboard cases and the Kindle Fire, since the M-Edge site claims certain of their KK cases work.

Look how similar the dimensions are.

KF:

7.5" x 4.7"
x 0.45"

KK:

7.5" x 4.8"
x 0.34"

The Fire's less wide but slightly thicker.  That won't give most hard cases much leeway, but something forgiving that stretches a bit (like leather) might possibly work.  I'd expect a bit of bowing depending on the design.

I hope KK owners who've pre-ordered Fires will let us know.
