I don't know about anyone else, but I LOVE reading in the bathtub. I've got my system down for books but I've been eyeing the kindle for months now but it comes down to being able to read it in the tub. So I'm wondering -- are the waterproof covers as good as they say there are? I need something that can survive being dumped into the tub for a few moments, a few times a year.

A lot of our members simply use a sturdy ziplock bag.  I'm not a fan of that, because I've had problems with  ziplocks leaking over time if reused.  I would recommend changing the bag periodicially.

I use a purpose made waterproof case.  This one is very popular among our members:

Having tried them all, my recommendation is a Seal Line E-Case Reader Medium 6.9x9.8in.  They are not easy to locate but I have also found them at a local MORI Luggage & Gifts for only $24.95.  Almost daily I swim in an indoor swimming pool and have found this case perfect; easy to get the device in/out, not tear, and most importantly a true tight waterproof seal.
