I love this series--though I have to say the last book in the series was disappointing for me. And I can't even really remember what happened, just that the opening made for a clunky read. That said, I feel like I've read this far, I HAVE to keep reading LOL. Has anyone read Dead Reckoning yet? (It came out this past May, so I'm guessing someone has!) If so, what did you think of it?

You know it's bad when I had to have every book written and today, I was just handed Dead Reckoning from a co-worker. I never bought it or HAD to read it. So, she handed it to me and I realized I also have no recollection of what happened in the last book...so, I have been trying to refresh my memory but really wonder if I have the time to continue when there are soooo many other books raising their hands to be read next!!! So, did you read it?

That last book wasn't just bad it was horrible!  I haven't read Dead Reckoning either.  I've been waiting for the price to go down but it's on my list.  IMO, $15 is too much to spend on a questionable book.  I'd probably read it if someone gave it to me and I never read DTBs anymore!

Ha Ha Ha!!!! I never read DTB's anymore either which is even more of a reason I am questioning the read!!! It's sitting on my desk just staring at me and all I can think is, big, heavy DTB!!! Ha Ha Ha!!! We'll see, I feel I have invested so much time I may as well just finish the series...someday!

You know, I don't even remember what happens in Dead Reckoning. That can't be a good sign, can it?  Huh

I did enjoy it (I think?), but the ebook was at least $12 or $13, and that was just way too much to spend on an ebook. I don't even buy DTBs that cost more than $6 or $7. It seemed fair to buy one after my sister gave me the rest, though.

Lol, hello  Smiley
Personally, I adore the Sookie Stahouse series! Sookie is an awesome character. I have yet to Read Dead Reckoning simply because I have not seen it in small paperback format. I have all the others that way and would like to keep it so.
Dead in the Family--I loved it!
Her relationship with Eric...at first I was unsure of it and hoped soo badly she'd go back with Bill. But now I'm okay with it.
But I really wanna read DR!!

I thought this series was great...up until Dead and Gone, which I struggled to get through. Then I made the mistake of reading A Touch of Dead and that was the final 'nail in the coffin'  - excuse the pun. Sometimes I think it better to quit while your ahead.

One incident is all it takes to change the course of your life. Though Sophie didn’t know it, for her it happened the day the fox attacked her.

Kind of how I feel about Dead Reckoning. I just got it yesterday...and I'm not really feeling it... Sadly!! Sad

Does anyone else think it looks like Charlaine Harris is kinda building toward Sookie ending up with Sam?

@ smreine

IDK. I'm not that far into Dead Reckoning, but it'll be interesting to see if I find any hints at it! Though, I'm not too sure how I feel about it. Guess it'll be alright, if the transition works!

I stayed up way too late last night reading Deadlocked.  (Four hours of sleep is not enough!)  I enjoyed it more than Dead Reckoning.  (Read that one a few weeks ago and had trouble remembering what happened.)

I seem to be having trouble reconciling the chars from the book and the chars from Trueblood.  I know, big differences between the two. Tongue  Has anyone else read this one?  Would like to discuss questions and thoughts, but don't want to spoil for anyone else.

(Apologies if my post is confusing- filter between brain and fingers may not be working well today.)

I haven't read the last two books. I just noticed that Dead Reckoning had dropped in price and was planning to buy it next. Like you I've had a terrible time separating the tv show from the books. I would love to reread them all but think I'll wait until the series ends to do so.
