Hi folks,

Well, I decided to buy a new Kindle to go with my Kindle Keyboard and have decided to retire my faithful Magic Book, a K1.  I sent it back to Amazon for recycling via their electronics trade in program.  It's a little sad, but is the right thing. . . . .

What that means is I have a couple of covers that fit the original wedge shaped Kindle for sale. Cheesy

One is an Oberon Creekbed Maple in Saddle.

The above is actually the journal cover; they no longer sell the covers for the K1.  The only difference is that the pewter button is not leaf shaped but rather square with an interlocking weave design.  It is in Very Good condition. . .has never even been folded backwards. Roll Eyes  It does have the corner straps and there's also a tree of life charm on the closure bungee.  Send me a PM and make me an offer. Smiley  I'm happy to be paid via an Amazon Gift Card and will ship anywhere but if it's going overseas I'd want a bit extra for shipping. Smiley

I ALSO have an MEdge cover. (Also for the K1.) It's red with gray lining.  The lining has some pockets for cards and things and there's also a pen loop.  It's in Fair condition.  It had a sticker stuck inside of it which I've removed but there's some sticky residue left.  And the lining bit is a bit worn/darkened from handling.  The red color is about the shade of the Amazon stock cover for the Keyboard Kindle but smooth leather as opposed to pebbled.  It has a tab that slides into a slot for closure.  Anyway, if anyone wants it, I'm happy to send it to anyone who's willing to pay for shipping.  Or, you know, come get it. Roll Eyes

Thanks!

Ann

Would this be able to hold a regular notebook or journal by any chance?

For you who are thinking of possibly modifying it for usage as a journal or a different generation Kindle, it is approximately 6 inches by 8 inches.  The black piece where the kindle would be secured is 5½ by 8" (Well, 7 and 15/16 of an inch if you really want to be exact. Roll Eyes )

The corners are either sewn into the edge or attached via a grommet to the interior black leather piece.  One corner is a removable bungee type thing.

Thanks, Betsy. Cheesy

In case it's not obvious, the top picture is it laying flat opened to show that the design wraps around.

Then there's the front and the back, respectively.

And then open, inside, with and without a K3.

N.B.  The cover is designed for the K1 -- but some have asked if it will work with a K3. . . . .the answer is a qualified 'yes' if you do some modifications and use something other than the corners to hold it.

There's a plastic stiffener, as well, in each side.
