101tips--

Congratulations on your book!

KindleBoards is a Kindle fan and reader forum.  As you browse KindleBoards, keep in mind that self-promotion, of any sort, is ONLY allowed in the Book Bazaar. (You've posted your book thread in the right place; this is just our standard welcome that we place in all book threads. Smiley)

A brief recap of our rules follows:

--Please bookmark this thread (using your browser's bookmark/favorite function) so you can update it as we ask that authors have only one thread per book and add to it when there is more information.  You may start a separate thread for each book (or you may have one thread per series of books, or one thread for all of your books, it's your choice).

--We invite you to use your book cover as your avatar and have links to your book and website in your signature. Instructions are posted here

--While you may respond to member posts to your thread at any time, you may only bump your thread (back-to-back posts by you) once every seven days.  Once you've responded to a member, that resets the clock to zero and you must wait seven days to post, unless another member posts before then. You may modify the latest post to reflect new information.

--We ask that Amazon reviews not be repeated here as they are easy to find at your book link.  Also, full reviews from other sites should not be posted here, but you may post a short blurb and a link to the full review instead.

--Although self-promotion is limited to the Book Bazaar, our most successful authors have found the best way to promote their books is to be as active throughout KindleBoards as time allows.  This is your target audience--book lovers with Kindles!  Please note that putting link information in the body of your posts constitutes self promotion; please leave your links for your profile signature that will automatically appear on each post.  For information on more ways to promote here on KindleBoards, be sure to check out this thread:
Authors: KindleBoards Tips & FAQ.

All this, and more, is included in our Forum Decorum: http://www.kindleboards.com/index.php/topic,36.0.html.  Be sure to check it from time to time for the current guidelines and rules.

Thanks for being part of KindleBoards!  Feel free to send us a PM if you have any questions.

Thanks Kevis,

It's one of my favourite ebooks, submitted for inclusion in the catalogue by a work colleague.

I recommend it - it details a 2.5 year slow pub crawl round every pub in Manchester- describes over 200 pubs and is quite funny in parts.

The good thing about the "101 tips to get DRUNK" series is that it's very scalable (i.e. I'm not sure where you are from, but if you're interested you could help us author a book on "101 tips to get DRUNK in [insert your town/city here]" - Then as the afterword suggests - we will promote and market the book (after formatting to fit the style of our other books) - and provide you with a share of any royalties from the sales (if you wish to price it).

I haven't figured out how to put an ebook on KDP for free yet (since some authors might wish to offer their ebook for free) - I keep getting "Must be between $0.99 and $200.00"

I do not own a kindle myself, so I'd be very keen to know how the ebooks read on the kindle, and as always any book reviews from this community would be very very useful.

I'm very new to self publishing and I stand by the "You only get out of something what you put in" so I hope to be an active member of this community and in turn, hope to get this community interested in the ebooks of 101 tips and it's community.

 Cheesy

Thanks for the invitation to pen a 101 book. But on this subject the only thing I'm good at is getting drunk! Grin I just posted about how to make your book go free in The Writer's Cafe. You may want to check it out. BTW, welcome to KB. I certainly look forward to you being a regular member of the community here. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Cheers!

Thanks Kevis,

I'll take a look at the post - cheers.

You can write a 101 tips book about anything you're good at, it doesn't have to have 101 individual tips (some do, some it's pretty hard to get to 101). We are always seeking new topics to have a tips book on Smiley if you cannot think of enough content to make a book - then there are articles / quick tips on the website itself (see my signature).

The DRUNK in Manchester one is just short "stories" about each night and the pubs spaceman visited, how they found it, would they go back etc.

Well not many people appear to want to read the story of how spaceman got drunk (a lot) in over 200 pubs in Manchester UK

It is quite an interesting read Smiley
