Just got my kindle!

Just got my kindle and loving it!    The only things I don't like are that I can't see book covers, only titles, and transferred pdf's don't have good blow-up functions. The kindle on mac works better with these pdf's from what I see. I can blow to 150 percent and read it well on mac, but 150 is way too big on kindle, needing to go right and left to read and 100 is too small...

And the kindle doesn't have light or does it? So I've connected my book light to it to read at night...and its not in color for the book covers...

But none of that is really a big deal for me, I still would have gotten it and love it!

Congratulations on your new Kindle.  You are correct that Kindle is not backlit.   You need to provide your own lighting when you read.   Although pdfs can be read on a Kindle, I also found that some of them are difficult to read on a small Kindle for the reasons you mentioned but that's just my opinion.   Happy reading.
