I was playing the the sample KT at Target and there are 3 pages of books. Every time I tried to go to next page of titles on KT I ended up opening up a book. I finally used Menu - go to page 2 to get to the next page. Is there another way to do this? I have 3 pages of collections on my K2 and 5 pages of unsorted items and if I have to use menu when I want to get to something not on the home page that would be horrible.

On the Touch you just swipe or tap to go to the next page...just like turning a page in a book. Works great on my Touch.

Yeah, it worked fine while reading a book, but when I was on the home page (where the titles of the books are listed) and swiped to go to page 2, it would open the book near where I swiped. I tried to swipe in blank areas but it would open the book above or below my swipe. I tried at least 10 times in different areas and no getting to page 2 of the 3 pages of book titles.

Hmmm...I'm not having that problem with mine so I'm not sure how to help. I just tried mine again on the home page (and I have 21 pages right now) and it still works fine. I just do a quick swipe and it goes right to the next page. I've never had to use the menu to go to the next page. Just make sure it's a light, quick swipe and that you're not leaving your finger there too long. Otherwise, I'm not sure why it's not working right. Maybe someone else will come along and chime in about theirs.

Hmm, I wonder if my swipe was more of a tap and if that makes a difference on the home screen. I know that while reading a book swipe and tap are the same, but I'm guessing that on the Home page a tap opens the title and a swipe turns the page. I'll try next time I'm at the store.

If you swipe up and down while on the contents pages, it will take you to the next page of the contents, instead of into the book. While you're reading a book, swiping up and down will let you move between chapters.
If you swipe left to right on the contents page, it seems to be the same as if you're tapping on the book title, and the book itself opens up.

I hadn't tried the swiping up and down as swiping left to right works well for me in going from page to page of titles on the home page, whether swiping lightly or more slowly, even directly across a title. Good to know that up and down works, too! Betsy

Another trick--if you know you need to go more than one page, or your new downloads are always at the end of your list (mine's always in Collections view, so new downloads are on the last page):
Instead of swiping up through 6 pages, look just below the menu bar on the right. See where it says "Page 1 of X"? Tap on that. It will pull up a dialog box and keyboard for you. In that box, it defaults to the "first letters of title" search, but you can also tap on the box labeled "enter a page number". This brings up a keypad. Enter your index page number and hit Go to jump to that page.
Once you get the hang of it, it's faster than having to swipe multiple times to navigate through your library.

Betsy you're right. I just tried this again. In the contents area, if I swipe left to right, I can move through the contents pages. But if I tap on the contents pages, even in a blank area, the nearest book (or collection) opens up.

I know I never tried swiping left to right since that is opposite what my instinct is. Thanks for all the tips and ideas.

Well, you can swipe right to left, too, depending on the direction you want to move, just be sure it"s a swipe not a tap...

I still have to wait until Christmas to open up my new Touch, but this is an awesome tip!! Thank you so much!!
