Which one do you find yourself using most? I'm especially interested in hearing from those of you that have more than one kindle e-ink reader, such as those with the kindle touch, keyboard, and/or the basic baby kindle. Which one do you prefer most for reading? Does anyone prefer their fire for reading the most?

I have the fire and the kindle keyboard and I find myself reading more on my fire than my Kindle keyboard now. The only exception has been if I'm outside reading in the sun.

I have a K3 and a DXG. I have no preference for one over the other but for practical reasons I always use the DXG in the house and carry the more portable K3 when I go out.

I have a Kindle 4, Kindle 3, and an Android tablet that is very similar to the Fire.  Kindle 4 is the hands-down favorite, though Kindle 3 is admittedly close behind.  The Tablet is unpleasantly heavier, and I prefer page turns using buttons rather than touch screen.

The K2 never gets used any more in favor of the Touch. I did all my reading on the iPad for the last year, but now that's been bumped in favor of the Touch as well--less for the e-ink or even the portability, but for rather for the Collections that make it so much easier to find what I'm looking for.

(For reference, the weight of the iPad doesn't bother me because I don't try to hold it. It's on a stand, a WedgePad, or lately a Coyl Cushion, which makes reading on it very easy. It's now reserved for PDFs though, and a few books that formatting-wise look better on a larger screen.)

My K3 slightly edges out my K4 because of the 3G functionality for my most used Kindle.  My FIRE is my before bed reader for the most part.  That was surprising for me when I sold my iPad to get the FIRE.  I thought for sure it would become the  most used in my tiny Kindle army.

I have the original DX, a K3 and K4 (baby kindle).  I use the K4 almost all the time.  It runs more efficiently than my K3.  I may have too many books on the K3, but it is not full.  The DX display is light compared to the other two, and that is why I haven't used it in a long time.

I've got a K4 ($79 with ads), a K3 (Keyboard) and a Nook, which is similar in size and weight to the Fire, I think. I don't use the Nook very much. (I know you just asked about Kindles, but I thought I'd throw that in for free. I really loved the K4--it's so light and compact--until I started proofing my manuscript and wanted to save notes. The keyboard is really handy for that. (That way, I can combine two things I adore: proofing and standing in line at Walmart.) So I swapped with my husband and took back my old K3 keyboard. So it really depends on how you're using your Kindle. For just plain reading, I'd go for the K4 or the Touch.

I have a K3 3G, DXG, Nook touch, ipad 3G, and a Nook tablet.

I currently use the DXG the most because it is new.  I am sure eventually I will grow tired of it in my bag and use it for home and vacation reading.

I pretty much use the Nook touch for reading free inside BN and library or non-kindle formatted books only so it isn't used very much.

Nook Tablet is being used as an iPod for movies and video.  While iPad is used for my laptop.

I have a K2i and a Fire.  I thought I would only use the Fire for everything but reading and still use the K2i for reading.  I find I am using the Fire for more of the reading than anything currently.  I still prefer the buttons on the K2i.  Find I am always touching the screen and sending my book many pages forward or backward  Roll Eyes

I have a DXG, a Touch and a K3.  I use the DX the most, and I use the Touch when I go out, or if I want to continue a non-Amazon book that I've already started on the Touch. (I only read non-Amazon books on one or the other, since they don't sync in that case.)
I'm going to sell the K3.

I do most of my fiction reading on the K4.  Also some blogs get delivered there.

The Fire gets the newspaper -- I like it as the pictures are in color and when there are links in the articles I can click to follow them quickly.

The K3 is my out and about reader. . . .so I read on it when I'm somewhere else and have time to kill.  It has the 3G so I can sync if needed anywhere.

If I could only have one. . .tough question. . . .I'd probably go with the Fire, though I can't get my blogs on it.  The reading experience is surprisingly good.  Much better than on my Xoom which is too heavy and has too large a page of text.  That's better, though, for certain larger format PDF's I have. . . .

Honestly, I never thought I'd have any need for more than one. . .and I probably really don't. . . but it is nice to have options. Cheesy

I have a DXG, a K3 special offers, a Touch 3G, and a Fire. Normally I would do most of my at home reading on the DXG, but right now I'm using thee Touch cause it's new and I really like the touch interface. The K3 is supposed to be my "before bed" reader because of the lighted case, but again I find myself reaching for the Touch and a reading light. If that keeps up I'll gift the K3 to someone. The Fire is for browsing, playing games, showing off, and reading when out and about because right now it's what I've been carrying around. Sometimes I'll also use the Fire for night reading as well instead of getting a reading light.

I have a K2, a Kindle Fire and an iPad.  The only reading I do on the Fire or iPad is magazines and discussion boards.  I have really bad eyes and they feel eye strain after 20+ minutes of reading on an LCD screen.  Even with the magazines I usually have to take a break 2 or 3 times before I can finish so there is no way I could read a book for hours on one.

I have a K3, I tried the Fire for awhile and returned it.  I've also tried a friends K4 and I had an iPad at one point.  By FAR the K3 is the best for me.  I havent tried the touch but I have no interest, give me page turn buttons or give me death  Tongue.  I actually like the K2 the best out of them all as far as ergonomics go and would but a new one right now if they made one with a pearl screen.

Me too! It brought tears to me eyes when I sold my K2 to help pay for my Fire. It was much easier to hold than the K3. What made me keep the K3 over the K2 was the pearl screen.

I have the K3 keyboard, the Baby Kindle and a Fire.  Oh yeah, and an iPhone and iPad too.  For reading, I prefer the Baby Kindle.  Prefer the weight, the speed, everything about it.  I have a lot of books in the TBR piles so I put only what I'm looking to read in the foreseeable future on the Baby and it gets deleted when I finish reading it.  Supposed to only be 20 to 30 books on it but currently there are 58!!!  Only 2 Collections - Nightstand and Samples for the Kindle Lending Library books.  Everything goes on the K3, as a library of sorts and nothing gets deleted from there unless it goes in the trash.  iPad NEVER gets read on unless it is a magazine or cookbook, iPhone on the rare occasion when I just can NOT put a book down and have to keep on reading, even in traffic and at red lights.  Since I started playing words with friends, that takes up most of the traffic down-time.   Grin

Only have a K3, but do have an iPad 2 and iPhone 4S with Kindle apps.

The K3 is what I do most of my novel reading on, and mostly just in bed before sleeping.  It seldom leaves the night stand.

iPad I read newspapers, magazines and PDFs for work on. Read novels on it when traveling as I usually take it with me and leave my Kindle at home as I don't mind reading on LCD screens that much personally.

iPhone I read on when out and about and having some unexpected down time as it's always in my pocket, and I generally don't carry my iPad or Kindle around with me unless going out of town.

I will no doubt have multiples this Xmas.  I am thinking of the fire, and my family also has an iPad as well. I imagine that they will be doing diffrent things.  The kindle 3 is where I will be doing my reading, the fire will be doing a lot of things but not books, the iPad works with my son's education so they are really for different things there is a place for each of them.
