Can I remove a book from the Kindle homepage?

Once I've put a book into a collection, I'd like to see it disappear from the home page, but it doesn't.  Is there a way to remove a book from my homepage without deleting it from my device altogether?

If you sort you home page by anything other than collections, then you will also see all your books individually as well. To sort by collection move the cursor to the top of the home page and on the right it will say either 'by title', 'by author', 'most recent first' whereas you want it to say 'by collection'.

To change it, move the cursor to the right and all four choices will appear, pick the one you want and press the centre of the five way (assuming you have a K3). Once sorted by collection only your collections and any books not in at least one collection will appear on the home page. They'll be in the order you've last used them, with the most recent at the top.
