So, I just received my brother's Christmas present, a K4, today. I am setting it up, and the one thing I realized/noticed (other than the annoyance of not having a keyboard) was the amazing e-ink screen. I guess I'm so accustomed to my KDX that I didn't realize how much advancement in the technology Amazon has gone with it. It AMAZED me. It almost makes me want to get a new Kindle for myself, but I won't. Haha. I guess I'm wondering if anyone else noticed the stark quality, for those who have both older and newer Kindles?

Oh yes--the K2, even with the font hack, has very grey text compared side by side with the Touch. Both screens are about the same background shade, so the difference in text is very obvious.

Currently reading...no idea.  Trying to decide from the overflowing TBR "pile" and not making any headway!

There was a big difference between the K2 and the K3. I was amazed. I don't see as much difference between the K3 and Touch but it is better. When it is on the sans serif font it is really crisp.

Yeah, it was a big jump from K2 to the pearl screen on the K3--the new ones use the same pearl screen.

I hadn't intended to upgrade from the K2 to the K3, but once I saw the screen I had to as I always hated how gray the K1 and K2 screens were.
