Vlad is back, and this time he's hungry. I mean, really hungry. I could explain the plot of this one, but I think I'm going to eat, instead. Steven Brust's synopsis of Druz.

That does make it convenient. Not that it was ever difficult to send the email. It does not show as an option on any book that was free. It only shows for books purchased within the last week. You can still delete any book this way too. . .just can't get the refund if you've had it for more than a week. I would guess, if there were egregious formatting errors, you could still call and try to get a refund on an older book.

So it's consistent with their seven day refund policy.

Hhhhhmm, I wonder how many books I could read in seven days. But that's the catch. There's a lifetime return policy and no one knows how many books it is. But I have read on another forum of at least two people have lifetime Amazon bans for returning too many things (one was books, the other was books and several other products.) FWIW. I read about it being added to Manage on DailyCheapReads so word is getting around!

So if you get a book and it's a bad read that you can't finish, you can return it for a refund past 7 days? Sorry, just trying to understand this between meetings.

I wouldn't return a book because I ended up not liking the story...that is a chance you take not matter what format you buy a book in.
However, a badly formatted ebook with excessive typos, etc, I would have no problem requesting a return even after the 7 days.

I completely understand that and have never returned a book I purchased. I had a couple books downloaded by my kids that went past the old 7 day return rule and I didn't push the issue. I tried to read them with no success and just chalked it up to not letting my kids use my Fire. Just trying to figure out Amazon return etiquette.

I think it is meant for books that have formatting issues and books that are accidently purchased. I think if you return a bunch of books and that they have been partially read that you are going to end up on a naughty list.

Exactly. My son downloaded the Jenny McCarthy book and I tried to find something worthwhile out of it but it was a hopeless task and I couldn't get past a couple chapters of mindless ramblings. Now it pollutes my carousel.

With the upcoming update you will be able to remove it from the carousel! That's the good news.

Well. . .at least, that is what is being rumored. No one knows yet what the Fire update will do exactly. As to the 7 day return, Amazon says no questions asked. And they have no publicized policy on when too many returns will get your account locked. But I'd guess that, internally, they will watch and if it seems like someone never keeps anything they'll get a warning at the very least. As for me, if I just don't like it, I don't return it. But if I deem it to be nigh on unreadable for some reason, I may very well do so.

I was so glad to see this today, I purchased a book on kettlebells a few days ago that was so horribly formatted I couldn't make any sense out of it. Frustrating because I could tell that there was good info in the book. I had a note to myself to call or email then I saw the news about the update. Even easier
