This book has been getting some excellent reviews since it was first released in late March of 2009.

Cry for the Moon is the story of Zach, who grew up in a family of werewolves and finds himself in the position of having to run away to avoid becoming one himself.  Although fantasy, there's a strong undercurrent of realism to this book, as it tackles some hard choices that we have to make in life and how high the price of those choices can sometimes be.  Zach never loses his courage in the face of adversity, nor his whimsical and sometimes silly sense of humor.  Getting to know him was one of the things I loved most about writing this book.  I don't often say that, but now and then a character comes along that even the author loves.

The story is told in first-person, which makes it much more personal and realistic.  One reviewer said it was almost like she was talking to Zach instead of reading about him.  It's a clean book, and it does have a Christian aspect to it, though nothing controversial in that respect.

It's available in the Kindle Store on Amazon for $2.78, and there are paperback and hardback editions as well for $7.97 and $19.70, respectively.

Anyone who would like to read customer reviews can do that on Amazon, or also on my home page.  There are free sample chapters of this book on my home page too, along with samples of my other books, free stories, commentary, interviews, and other interesting material.  Feel free to visit it at www.williamwoodall.org

Looks interesting, and getting good reviews at Amazon, so I've downloaded a sample. The book is only 244 pages, so a short read, but a reasonable price!

Here's an Amazon link for Kindleboards:

Thanks for the link; I'm still new to the Kindleboards and haven't figured out all the little bells and whistles like that.  I went back and added it to my original post too.

I liked it. It was different. Not a lot of action but pleasant in a laid back way.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, Chad.  It was fun to write.

If you'd consider putting a review on Amazon, it would be deeply appreciated.

Thanks again!
