I have a very good friend who is the book hoarder type. She constantly checks Goodwill for anything she might eventually want to read. I think she has hundreds of unread (by her) DTBs right now. After seeing my K3 all of 3 times she decided to get one. I'm so excited to have someone to use the lend feature with!

What is the lend feature?

Some books are eligible to be loaned out to another Kindle user once for a period of 2 weeks.  Details here.

She may find it saves her money in the long run compared to use book shopping.  I no longer purchase books I "might" read.  My TBR pile is all samples.  So I don't purchase until I've read the sample and am ready to continue the book.

Gee that's great.  Now you have a pal to lend books to and viceversa.

Todd - I need to check out your marching band book.  I spent some time marching and my father was a H.S. band director (who was not always thrilled with the Friday Night Lights of marching bands.)

I guess with the kindle three she is in for a whole new sort of hoarding.
