KF: Cloud and Device Books Identical/Missing Cloud Books

Before the latest firmware update (6.2.1), the books in my cloud (around 70 ebooks) were all listed correctly and the books on my device (around 20) were also listed correctly. Now, Cloud shows the exact same books as Device which means I am unable to select books from the cloud to download directly to my Fire.

Does anyone else have this problem with their Fire, or is this something I have to call Amazon about?

inb4 Push books from the website; that's not an acceptable solution/work-around. I want the original functionality back.

Most people did not have this problem, but a few did, apparently.  In the Fire update thread, someone mentioned deregistering and registering solved a similar problem.  I would power it down (hold for 20 seconds) and then power it up first and sync.  If that doesn't work, try the deregister/register.  Unfortunately, that will probably remove the books currently on the device.

It seems the only fix that worked was de-registering and then re-registering. I did speak with CS and I have to say they were pretty awesome again as usual.

Now my Fire works flawlessly. I used it so much today I got it down to 5% battery.
