I am hopeful that I will get the new Kindle 4 for Christmas. I have a Kindle 3 and like it, but it would be nice to have a lighter one.
So are you getting a new Kindle for Christmas?

I guess you can say that I am. I just sold my Kindle Keyboard (WiFi only) to put towards a Kindle Keyboard 3G that I ordered yesterday. Although I wasn't suppose to receive it until 12/27/11, it shipped yesterday afternoon and will be delivered today!

While some people might have a good idea whether they're getting a Kindle, most people won't know until Christmas day . . . . I find the question odd.

I already bought myself a K4 just to celebrate being a great melodrama villain. So no new Kindles here for awhile.

I'm not, as I'm still very happy with my K3, but several people I know are getting their first Kindle at xmas.

Franklin, I treated myself to the Touch wifi before Christmas. I had the K2 and it has been a tremendous upgrade. I'm very happy with it!

Not this time! I bought myself the Fire and the Touch when they were released. I know I'll still have a nice Christmas though. My Mom is getting one though! I can't wait!

There was a delivery at my house yesterday...that I wasn't suppose to see...but I was the only one home:) It is a small package from Amazon...looks like it could be my Kindle Touch (that I have hinted about at least a gazillion times) that I would love to have!!! It has been a Kindle Christmas the last 2 Christmas's...so I am really hopeful for a 3rd;). Of course my DH said it isn't...but I don't believe him...lol...Merry Christmas Kindleboards:)

No new Kindle for me. I'm very happy with my K3 Kindle Keyboard. I just bought two tablets (a 7" and a 10") and they both have the Kindle app, so I have lots of reading options now!

I asked for a new aneroid based tablet and my parents said "no" so I bought myself a new Amazon Kindle Fire and now.I couldn't be happier, I gave it to myself for Hanukkah day 2.

No...
...but I can now imagine a time when a brand spankin' new Kindle may become as cheap as a single old-fashioned hardcover.
What a century!

No. But, I do think that my mother got me a new phone (not that I needed one).

I was gonna get the Touch but decided to wait till maybe after Christmas. I seem to be using my K4 more than any of my other Kindles and don't want another addition to be ignored.

I'm cautiously optimistic for a Fire, but we'll see. It would definitely make my day, possibly even over the NBA season openers, which is saying a lot.
