I have been looking on Amazon for a sleeve for the K4, but it seems that they are all made to fit the Touch as well. Most of the reviews from people with a K4 say that it is a loose fit. Anybody know of a sleeve that would protect the screen and still have a snug fit?

Oberon makes sleeves for the K4...I think it's their mini e-reader sleeve. It should start of snug and then loosen as the leather breaks in...

Remember, there isn't much difference in size between the two. I think the difference in width is only .2". I have the mini Oberon sleeve for my Touch, and it is very snug. I am hoping it stretches a bit. I think it will be plenty snug for your Baby.

Elaine...On the Oberon website it says the "small" fits the Touch. Were you told by someone from there that the "mini" would fit?

I know the website shows that there is only .2" difference in the width and .06" difference in the depth, but I'm thinking there must be some reason that people are posting a difference in the fit in their reviews. I have a BUILT sleeve that I bought for my K3, so I was looking at that style again. Several people said their K4's were loose and slipped out of the sleeve easily.
Thanks for the Oberon recommendation.....but I am looking for something lightweight and not quite as expensive. Sorry, I should have said that in the beginning.

The official Oberon thread includes a statement from Oberon that the Touch will be snug in the smallest sleeve and a bit looser in the next larger sleeve.

I don't have a K4, but Waterfield (sfbags.com) makes sleeves specificallly for each of the devices. I use the slip cases (I currently have one for the touch and one for my Fire), and have for all my Kindles since the original and I've been very happy with them.

Thanks, I had forgotten about sfbags. Does it fit your Touch snugly?

Yes, it fits very nicely! I've never had problems with any of their sleeves/bags.

I have an Octovo sleeve for the K2 - until I got the cover for my K4, I used the K2 sleeve for protection for my K4 and it actually was secure in there - of course the footprint of the K4 is much smaller than the K2 sleeve, but as far as being snug enough not to fall out, it was fine in there. So I can't imagine that the slight difference in size between the Touch and K4 would make much of a difference in a leather sleeve. Then again, the Built is a different material from the stiff Octovo leather sleeve.

I got my Kindle Basic before I got a case. I used a sweat sock, clean from the laundry, folded double and slipped my Kindle in. It was a really tight fit and worked fine. I prefer a cover, though, so I was delighted when my Marware cover arrived. If I'd wanted a sleep, I would have probably had a little stitching done on my sock and stuck with it.

M-Edge makes a version of the Pop Sleeve for the smaller e-readers, the Pop Sleeve Mini: http://www.medgestore.com/products/uni-popmini.pspI have used a Kindle 4 in one of these sleeves and can say with complete confidence that it fits like a glove! The material is stretchy but snug and gently hugs the device. And, as with all of our jackets and sleeves, it is covered by a lifetime warranty against manufacturing and material defects. We offer free return shipping to customers within the US and a 60 day, no questions asked, return period.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate all the great suggestions!
Jackie, any chance you guys will be coming out with a sleeve in some bright colors, maybe without the clear vinyl strip?

Just thought I'd report back on something. I received the K4 today. I have a Belkin sleeve that I used on my Keyboard model. The Touch is very snug in it (of course the sleeve is a little long for it), but the K4 falls right out. I guess between the difference in width and the thickness, they are not the same size at all.
