KCS is really amazing and helpful.  I have a new Touch to replace my K3 and I really like it altho' it's taking me a bit a time to get use to.  I've read about 6 book on it since Christmas and yesterday it started acting "funky".  Twelve hundered and forty-four locations into the book things got weird when I tried to turn the page - the device locked and I had to do a restart.  I sometimes  a dialog box appeared on the screen  Huh that said something to the effect that the device could not perform the operation and I must close the program.  A close button also appeared in the dialog box but since the device was locked I couldn't close anything.  I ended up having to restart the device close to a dozen times.

After reading other books and the Touch working perfectly I felt it must be a corrupt book.  I called Kindle CS and explained, she said the even tho' I purchased the book on Nov. 6 and it was beyond the 7 day return period they would return it (and issue a refund) because there must be a corruption somewhere.  Voila the book is gone and now I'm off to repurchase it.  The entire transaction took less than 4 minutes.

Other than this slight glitch with this one book my new Touch is working wonderfully and I am pleased with it.  I'm not sure I really like the Special Offers or that I will use them enough.  I'm going to give it a month then decide whether or not to opt for the screensavers.

UPDATE:  After two more phone calls, multiple freezes, screen jumping, not turning on, dozens of restarts KCS is sending me a new Touch, it will arrive tomorrow.

Great. I'm glad they are replacing. I've always had great service with Amazon.  Smiley
