I'm getting my mom a touch and need to get a power adapter for her. Are there any reputable lower priced options than Amazon's $15 one?

Do you have any micro USB cables for other devices i.e. Blackberry or other cell phones you can give her too? They will work for your Kindle too.

Basically anything that has a USB slot on one side and a plug on the other will work -- the Micro USB cable will come with it as you probably realize. $10 to $15 is probably as cheap as you can find them. . .maybe places like Radio Shack or Best Buy? They're pretty much the same adapter as is used by many smartphones.

The one for a penny costs $2.98 to ship. . . but it's got much better reviews than the one for $1.43 and free shipping.

I'm thinking of getting it. You can plug to usb cords into it. Not bad.

Yeah. . . .I noticed that. . .and it's compact. . . .I have one that I take when I travel that has room for 3 regular plugs and two USB cords so I don't really need it.

But estimated shipping is "Estimated delivery: Jan. 26, 2012 - Feb. 13, 2012" I thought about ordering one too and that came up when I was in the "checkout" area...

Ann, can you post a link for yours? Sounds handy to have. I am always looking for more wall outlets. I have too many things to plug in and no place to plug them in in this 65 year old house.

I have a K2 and tried to charge it using my iPhone wall charger and it wouldn't charge at all.
I also bought a usb wall adapter from a store and that wouldn't charge it either, so I'm stuck using my computer.
Im in Australia so i don't know if that makes any difference?
Im getting a K4 and I'm hoping that the wall chargers will work for that one.....
