Hi All
First time on here so hope i am not leaping into the wrong bit.

I have bought one of the new mini kindles in addition to my original 3g one. Aim being so that i can give one to my better half.

Once the new one was registered I went into my archive to down load all the contents - not many about 15, and some did not appear on the new kindle - any ideas please . I have looked in my archive on the pc and it has the same ones as have shown up on the kindle.  Any ideas on how to get the others shifted over please.

The other issue is that around 6 foreign language dictionaries have appeared that i didnt order any ideas how i came to get them pls  Huh

happy new year to you

cheers

ptmike--

Welcome to KindleBoards!

As for the dictionaries, once you picked a language during setup the extra ones should have disappeared from your Kindle but will still be in your archive.  You may delete the extra ones from your archive if you wish.  The K-Mini is set up so that the menus and everything will be in other languages if chosen during set up.

Can you go to Manage Your Kindle on a PC and manually send the books to your Mini that didn't load?

And I'll move this to our Tips, Tricks and Troubleshooting area for more advice.

re: dictionaries -- if you want them on your kindle, you can send them there.  I don't think you can send them to any other Kindles you might have on the account, though.

Re: books not available -- if you had some 'active' content like some of the word games, those are not compatible with your Kindle Basic so won't show as available in the Archive.  As Betsy suggested, go to MYK on your computer and click the 'actions' tab for each one . . . it will tell you what devices it can be sent to.
