Collections and ebook glich

Hello,
  i was wondering if anyone has had this issue and if so...please help. I'll go into a collection on my kindle and exit to home screen and the collection will be in the last position (3 pages later on the home screen) normally the last thing you read appears on the first page at the very top but for some reason my kindle is doing the opposite.

Please help.

Hi, tswillette - welcome to Kindleboards!

If you look at the top right hand side of your home screen you will see how the page is being sorted. The options are 'by title', 'by author', 'by collection' or 'most recent fist'.

The simplest way to get your collections at the top, with the most recently read one first, is to sort 'by collection'.

If you have a Kindle Keyboard or Basic Kindle move the cursor to the the top line and press right on the five way then choose the option you want. If you have a Kindle Touch, there will be a similar choice, but I'm not sure how you change it.

You may also need to turn on your wireless for a few minutes, as for any 'most recent' order sort, your Kindle needs to check what the time is occasionally!

My Kindle does this as well - the order of my collections or books suddenly changes from time to time - the newest book is no longer at the top, that sort of thing.

A simple restart (Home, Menu, Settings, Menu, Restart) followed by turning the wireless on (as Linjeakel suggests) is all that's needed to put it right.

You didn't say what model Kindle you have.  The Touch is the only Kindle that sorts Collections alphabetically.  The other Kindles sort Collections by 'most recent'.
