I was very surprised about how well it worked for me!  Grin Who else was also pleasantly surprised by the Kindle Touch's web browser performance?

*If I had to choose between my KT and Ipod Touch to do things on the web, I would still use my Ipod Touch though.*

Actually I'm posting this from my kindle touch right now!

Yes I was pleasently surprised by it. I actually do a fairly large ammount of browsing on my Touch. Though if I had to choose between my iPod touch and my kindle, I would choose the kindle purely because of the larger screen.

Exactly!  I've used my Kindle for maps & directions a number of times.  It's really hard to look at a map on a tiny phone screen, and I don't have a GPS, so my Kindle has become a real lifesaver (or at least a time saver) for me when I'm out and about.

But keep in mind that the new Kindle Touch, even with 3G, won't let you surf the web over 3G, the way the Kindle Keyboard (K3) can. Just a heads-up...

I never really considered it 'surfing'. . . more like slogging through wet sand at the surf's edge. . . Roll Eyes. . . .but the point stands.  Via 3G all that is available is the Kindle store and Wikipedia as I understand it.

I agree. Makes the touch more fun, just in case you need it, but I prefer the Fire for browsing.
