A few days ago, I reported a badly formatted book to Amazon (The font size kept changing, even in the middle of sentences). They sent me an email today telling me to remove the book from my device and redownload it from the archive to see if the problem persisted, which it did. They said if it did to send them another email with a screenshot and locations where it happened. It happens throughout the book, so there are many locations, so I took a screenshot and replied with that to the email they sent me, but the email came back as undeliverable and they said this: Hello from Amazon.com. We didn't receive the e-mail message below because it was directed to an e-mail address that can't accept incoming messages. Please visit one of the pages below so we can quickly provide you with additional information or give assistance via e-mail or phone. http://www.amazon.com/your-accountYour Account provides quick access to open and completed orders and other account information. http://www.amazon.com/helpUse the Help search in the left column to quickly find the information you need. http://www.amazon.com/contact-usCopy the message below onto this page to send us e-mail or select the phone tab to talk to us. We look forward to seeing you again soon. I tried to send it through the contact us link, but I can't find a way to attach a screenshot from there. Any ideas? Or should I just call them? Oh and I meant to add, this was a free book, so I'm not looking for a refund or anything, I just thought they should know about it. is the book, it was free when I got it but it's 99 cents now.

This isn't exactly what you are asking, but to create a screen-shot without need for a camera, on most Kindle models you can press the letter "G" at the same time Alt and Shift (up arrow) are already pressed. You then find the graphic as the newest file in the documents folder by using Windows Explorer when your Kindle is USB-wired to the PC. As for the general computer question of how to include a graphic file, or other attachment, in a document format that doesn't support attachments: You need to create a web link for the file. There are a number of free photo web sites that facilitate this. I don't know which I best, so I will give a Wikipedia link listing the possibilities: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_photo_sharing_websitesActually, I don't use any of these, but instead have several private and public google-hosted web sites. The learning curve is greater, but it gives you a lot of flexibility. For example, you can create a web site with your Kindle-friendly web links, so you can type in the URL on your PC rather than on your Kindle. If interested, check out: sites.google.com

chocochibi--
Phillyguy's correct, you can upload the pic to Photobucket or a similar site. Flickr can be difficult to get the sharing link for. Photobucket is straightforward.

Hi everyone,
The OP is stating that the reply e-mail they tried to send with the screenshot attached was rejected by Amazon. The reason being that you can't just hit reply on those e-mails.
Read the original e-mail the CS agent sent you carefully. There are instructions on how to reply to them to provide them with the information they've requested.

Yes, MP, We get that... The response was a canned response resulting from replying to the email. But the canned response did not account for the fact that chocochibi was trying to send a screenshot.
Chocochibi has stated that there is no way to attach a screen shot using the "Contact Us" page, which, having used it, I agree with. That is the issue now.

Correct, there is not a way to provide a screenshot through the website when you attempt to reply. As stated earlier a site to host the screenshots will be needed if they are going to be shown to Amazon. I was perhaps a tiny bit too concise with what I was attempting to say. My point was that Amazon can verify this issue with just the location information for the specific title. I've had a few books like this and that's been the easiest route as CS told me the screenshots often are redundant information. So it's just faster to give them the location information

Hmm...well I don't think I need to post here anymore.
Evidently you like to argue, and I have better ways to spend my time. I only live in Washington, have spent the last decade doing stuff for Microsoft, and have a friend who is a Senior Program Manager on the Kindle team.
What would I know about any of this...
Bye.

@Morpheus Phreak--I'm sorry you see it that way, MP. My job here as moderator (aside from occasionally putting people in the stocks ) is to ensure that members are given consistent and correct information to their questions. Just trying to do my job and prevent confusion on this question. @chocochibi-- Let us know if you need more help with the screen shot! Betsy

Thanks everyone for your help. The photobucket suggestion was excellent, I hadn't thought of that. I used the contact us web form and sent them a photobucket link together with a list of some locations where the problem occurs. Just waiting to hear back from them now. Thanks again.

You're over-reacting. Betsy wasn't arguing, she was clarifying. Betsy, and the other moderators here, volunteer their time. Without them this would be another cat-fight.
